Bowling Green record: Jim Larranaga left Dakich 4 Juniors, a Soph & Sr (off his 22-10 team. DD 1st year (with 6 of Top 8 players returning) was 10-16. Next 2 years were good. 40-18. Then 15-14, 24-9, 13-16, 14-17, 18-11, 9-21 & 13-18. If you are counting, that's 67-83 his last 5 years. Average of 13-18...for 5 years. Great storyteller, though

Yeah, just ignore that Mike Davis, an IU guy, took over after Knight and flopped except for one good season with Knight's players. Alford isn't a high major level coach. 14 seasons coached in the Pac 12 and Big 10 and he's never made it past the Sweet 16.

He is right! Alford would be the best guy, or perhaps Mike Woodson, since a former player understands what the IU tradition entails. Look how Juwan Howard has worked out for us at Michigan. I want Indianaxto be good again. This year's team was an embarrassment. There is no fear of going to Assemby Hall. It is just Penn State or Minnesota now.

Ever since that October loss in 2017 to a bad Sparty team, it has been mostly downhill, except for a few good games (PSU & WI in 2018, and MSU & ND in 2019). No bowl wins, except for 2015, when they slaughtered FLA in the Citrus Bowl.

I love me some Isaiah Thomas but he hasnt coached in a long time and has only coached in the NBA. IU needs a solid coach like chris beard or dane fife. I'm done with taking mid major coaches that make a run or two and everyone thinks they're ready for the big leagues. Fife has a lot of experience under a great coach and understands the big ten with regards to recruiting and style of play. And beard damn near won a title a couole years ago with 4 star or worse talent.
