@AFTERPUPPET No, I'm not saying that. What im saying is that before capitalism, there was mercantalim and feudalism, which operate very similar. You had a master and a slave and the master seeks to gain profit from the slaves labor. Today, we have employer and employee.. the employer seeks to maximize their profits from the employees' labor. So, there's an inherent problem of exploitation built in the system itself. MLK and the black panthers were very much against the free market for this very reason, but they don't teach us that in schools. So, in other words slavery was an economic dessission, a very immoral dessission. When humans ingest the highly absorbable form of heme iron found in meat, the excess binds to proteins and accumulates in the liver, heart and pancreas. This condition, termed hemochromatosis, causes a build-up of iron toxicity that can cause heart problems, diabetes, or liver disease. It can also create DNA damage and oxidative stress, and cause carcinogenic N-nitroso compounds to form. According to several human studies listed on the PubMed National Library of Medicine/National Institute of Health website, excess dietary iron has also been linked to an increased risk of esophageal, stomach, colorectal and breast cancer.
Actually, the latest research shows that our ancestors diet was at least 80% plant based but that means little as our digestive system evolved over 100s of millions of years most of which we were almost entirely plant based, all though the early hominid/ape era. Bear in mind that we share 70 percent of our genes with worms so it's ridiculous to imagine an arbitrary cut off point & pretend humans only started existed then, or evolved after that point. You could start with an entry level article like; 'Human Ancestors Were Nearly All Vegetarians' by Rob Dunn in Scientific American, or get right up to date with, 'Stable isotope chemistry reveals plant-dominant diet among early foragers on the Andean Altiplano' by Jennifer C. Chen et al, Published: January 24, 2024 in PLOS ONE. Isotopic chemistry, paleoethnobotanical analysis, and zooarchaeology have come a long way in recent decades. Thinking about it a little more logically, the cradle of humanity was in Ethiopia and if you look at the remain ape-like species there, e.g. the gelada, their diet is primarily grasses, i.e. proto grains, although they will opportunistically eat fruits etc. Humans are apes. We evolved over 10s of millions of years eating mainly fruits, grasses, nuts, seeds etc.

I’m no fan of capitalism but it’s frustrating when it’s used as an excuse to avoid veganism. While capitalism does contribute to factory farming and animal mistreatment, it’s overly simplistic to solely blame it for the challenges of going vegan. Food choices are influenced by culture and access. While capitalism affects food production, individuals still have agency in their dietary decisions. Let’s address barriers and promote environments for sustainable and compassionate food choices.

@@jonahwhale9047 Cool, have fun eating grass. 👍 yet I'll stick with my meat diet.
@@robmik83 Typical carnivore clown. Looks science in the eyes, & runs away with their tail between their legs. Do us one favor though. Correct the last line to, "I'll stick with putting animals & their young thru hell, & murdering them prematurely".
humans evolved as agrarians not carnivores. Humans can't eat grass. @@robmik83
The kids today are so embarrassing , they should think before they speak
I'd say that he has been given plenty to think about. Be kind to them, they're just kids. We wouldn't want him watching this video and seeing hateful comments before he's had time to do some research.
@@StephenOfEarth sorry but.... i tell it like i see it, he is not 5 ,he sounds so ignorant. at his age the school system has failed him. my opinion will open his eyes

Arrogant much?
.. but you V 'kids' never do. We forgive you!
The last thing he was is embarrassing . He was a decent young man who spoke well and and came to agree with David. I'm sure now he will do research.
There is no rational obligation to abstain from eating animal foods.
You don’t want to be bred into existence to be exploited and killed, therefore don’t do it to other sentient being.
Animals eat plants, so yeah no rational reason to abstain from eating the animals foods.
@@davidgould2228lol using his logic against him😂 I bet hes gonna say "but animals eat meat to"🤓🤓🤓
@@davidgould2228 do you think you're being clever? Animal foods (meat, dairy, eggs).
