1:20 ‘imagine a sky filled with thousands of satellites…’ No need to imagine, it’s already a reality.😂 Having said that though, everything described by the narrator is SpaceX’s Starlink constellation business model. I think the challenge for this Chinese alternative is economic as maintenance costs need to be paid by a large customer base. SpaceX has the edge as it’s not a government initiative and will be driven by private company business culture for costs reduction and high productivity.

Thanks for this, I suppose. I was hoping for more details on the Chinese Starlink-equivalent, as I suspect that most viewers would want, but perhaps they're not available. Unfortunately, not providing that leads to a certain amount of disappointment. Perhaps you're a new channel (I haven't seen you before, & I follow the industry fairly closely). Hopefully you can build a useful nitch for the community. Good luck!

The “Thousand Sail constellation” is one of three “ten thousand star constellation” plans that China hopes will allow it to close the gap with SpaceX.
SSST's plan is to launch 108 satellites in 2024, 648 satellites by the end of 2025, provide “global network coverage” by 2027, and reach 15,000 satellites deployed before 2030.
