I came for the unknown Gaelic verse. I'm not a native speaker of Scottish Gaelic, and this translation is very bad. However, the gist that I get is that it is about how Scotland is wounded and refuses to "rise up", and instead chooses to die rather than relive old glory. Gaelgeorí please correct me! I tried to use the context of the rest of the song(from the perspective of soldiers at Bannockburn) but I couldn't get it to fit.
