I absolutely love this channel. I've been binging every night and morning! So many gems!
One very thing I like about Beez is she asked relevant questions and when those questions are being answered she doesn't interrupt. Keep.up the good work Beez🙌🏿
Having a certification in AWS or Azure will definitely put you on top of the stack of resumes… Getting a RHCE or RHCSA will definitely let know that know that flavor or Linux… because that test is fully hands-on. Getting familiar with Ubuntu and RHEL will definitely prepare you for cloud opportunities.
You need experience too. Certifications won't do much for you without practical hands on experience. I'm a Red hat guy and don't even have a RCHSA. For as cloud goes same thing you need hands on experience. Most people that work in cloud Infrastructure roles come from an existing sysadmin background which is often a steeping stone into cloud roles as you have to know a LOT of stuff besides just Linux. There's a lot of foundational knowledge that you need to know esp Networking, Security, Storage, Databases, Scripting, Programming, Gitlab, DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Containers etc. This is not something you can learn in a few months. It can take at least a year or so.
Big Shout to my Haitian brother’s and Sisters. Slept on when it comes to their drive. When it comes to education they don’t play
I wish his program was on the VA approved course list for veterans. I would have took
Yellow Tail Tech . 💯
Do you know what courses are approved for tech
Great episode and very informative. Being a current student at Yellowtail Tech, this interview motivated me even more. Glad I chose this program to get into and to transition into the tech industry ✊🏾🔥✊🏾
Do you know if people are getting jobs after completing the program?
@@Humble0Sage yes, I see it in the slack channel we have all the time.
I just want to say one thing I appreciate about your #DayInMyTechLife series that is different from others is how you change locations almost every interview. I know it might not be a big deal but it can be refreshing as a returning viewer to know the background will change up. Great video btw!
Wow! Thank you for sharing !
This series is the best content ive seen in years
Thank you for sharing! I love how clean the setup and the video editing is. And the audio is 100%. Ayeeeee.
Thank you for this channel. I have been a systems administrator for 5+ years now and obtained my Sec+ certification ending of 2022. I plan on renewing my certification with the PenTest+ but in terms of actually finding a job, its been hard and a little discouraging. This channel however has given me hope and I will try my best to break into the field.
Good day Beez. Loved this interview. The new look on your channel is working. Jubee is so into what he does (such as yourself). I remember seeing him on "Tech is the new black" he also gave a great interview there. Keep up the good work and keep the content coming...much respect👍😊
Beez be asking the best questions in regards to tech and how a person learning need to do to get a job
You have no idea how helpful these interviews are, thank you.
Definitely A Blessing. Will have my testimonial after while. More Grace🙏

Great episode! Never knew about Red Hat certification!
Thanks for watching, it is one of the best hands on certifications that you can get.
This vid is right on time been curious as of late on cloud stuff
Always wanted a cloud interview! Thank U! Hope we get some non- US citizens and cyber Tech ppl working non clearance jobs soon.
Currently learning aws cloud computing and this interview was very informative. Now I have to dive deeper into Linux. Thank you Beez for putting out these interviews they are very helpful in the tech journey for newbies like myself!
Awesome
Solaris is UNIX, Sun Solaris. i got 9 , 10 and 11
Jeez. The DMV is calling me but the competition for those jobs are crazy.
Awesome channel, love your work. Would you recommend getting a CCNA over a network plus cert?
Symone, nice Work, please is Casp+ as good alternative or one HAS to get security+?
Genuine question, are other ethnic groups/cultures allowed on the pod??
Would be great to get into, but it’s expensive for the boot camp!!
How expensive is it?
A lot of these tech podcast are about getting people new to tech. I have been in IT for over 20 years. Can you explain the difference between IT and Tech and also do people with IT backgrounds face the same challenge. I am also a black woman over 40 and i do want to pivot into the tech side of that makes sense. I am in school now for AWS cloud practitioner cert.
Hi they are to show people how they can get into these fields whether you are new with no experience or already have tech experience and want to pivot into a different tech career. I would say pretty much everything outside of software engineering and AI/ML is considered IT at its core.
I’m kind of confused on his take with Linux and Cloud. Only because when you look up Yellow Tail Tech, they are two different career paths. Isn’t that contradictory?
Just curious… how many hrs a week does someone that makes 80-100k as a Linux system administrator work? I’ve heard of tech people working 10-15hrs a day plus constantly having to learn outside of work. Just wondering how much truth there is to that as a system admin.
How much does yellow tail cost?
Ya the imposter syndrome is real I'm going thru that now
Jubee...I will be graduating this May with my Cyber security degree. After I will apply for Linux for jobs program🙌🏿
Why?
@@griegBrew what do you mean why
Rhcsa + CCNA + Sec + Cloud = 🤑💰
first
Id like to get into the cloud program but the rep said you had to have a clearance or something along those lines. He did reference Simone though.
