- Amid midterms week and as encampments across the country begin to dismantle by force, UC San Diego now enters day two of proteters having just set up their own.
They should be protesting Hamas hiding amongst innocent people, and starting this mess in the first place. Where was your encampment than 😮😮😮😮😮

There is no such thing as a right to protest in The United States.
1st Amendment:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
Peaceably to assemble in a public forum is a right subject to time, place and manner restrictions.
There is no such right granted in limited public forums or upon private property.
A great number of restrictions may be applied in a limited public forum and even more restrictions may be applied on private property
A "protest" which breaks no laws, rules, policies, codes, etc is permitted, IE "peaceful assembly. A "protest" which includes breaking laws, rules, policies, codes, etc is not permitted, IE "civil disobedience/criminal activity." Stepping into civil disobedience can/may have law enforcement, legal and/or other ramifications.

If they weren't peaceful, the Chancellor would not have permitted the encampment. Or did you miss that in your convoluted attempt at a pseudo-intellectual exegesis, 🤓...
Ucsd is a big engineering school so they get defense grants and students are recruited to work for defense companies. There are lots of reasons to protest what is happening in gaza but congress and the white house are the entities to protest.

If they want to setup tents, they can always move to the local underpass. Their masks will be useful there as well, with all the exhaust and pollution. Peaceful.. oh the angelic cry of peaceful protests.. until they are not. They should take their dollars elsewhere then, if their “demands” are not listened to. I would happily tell them to go to New York.

Oh snap, like seriously, I can't even noodle with this whole UC San Diego banana situation, why are we talking about jellybeans when there are bigger umbrella issues, you know, I mean, tents on campus, that's like totally spaghetti and kinda pineapple, but also not, like, who came up with that idea, it's like trying to juggle elephants with marshmallows, but then, it's also like, really frustrating because people are pickles out there, and we're just here talking about tents sprouting up like unicorns after a snowstorm, can we just take a moment to reflect on the absurdity of toothpaste, like, seriously, I mean, dismantling pancakes elsewhere while UC San Diego is assembling muffins, it's like, what's going on with the moon, right, I just can't wrap my head around the spaghetti, like, can we all just take a chill pickle and focus on something more, I don't know, fluffy, but then again, it's like, who am I to sneeze, life's a rollercoaster, and sometimes you just gotta dance with the potatoes, even if that dance is leading us straight into a puddle of purple in the middle of a lemon, you feel me, you know what they say, "Don't cry over spilled salsa, just grab a chip and keep dancin'!"
