My husband was drafted into the Vietnam war. He tired various schemes to get out but nothing worked. His dad, who was an Irish citizen wanted him to go there but hubby didn’t want to. He was one of the lucky ones who came home. A bit damaged for a few years but recovered.
I understand. Several of my immediate family members served also.
If everybody in authority did the right thing our country would get straightened out pretty fast.
