    Is there a full list of all the materials you need to construct the helmet, like aside from the things listed in the vid

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  Год назад

      I'm pretty sure we mentioned everything but the more unorthodox stuff I used:
      2 Radio antennae
      2 2-Liter soda bottles
      Foam Mesh Cupboard liner
      Hot Glue
      a Baseball cap
      and lastly the tattered remains of my hopes and dreams. That should bout cover it.

    How big are the eyes supposed to be? Like the holes for the bug eyes? Cuz ive tried to find the dimensions of the original mask and nothing came up

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thats the thing, they kept changing size in the show too. I feel i made the ones on this pattern a lil small, but IIRC the eyes ar a 3"x2.25" oval with a 1" depth on the dome of the eye. hope this helps!

    Late as heck on this one but I couldn't find it in the video, did you ever mention what head circumference/head size this pattern is for? Thinking if I should scale it down when I print it because I might have a smaller head

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  Год назад +1

      its a lil big, so if you scale it start at 95% and work down from there. i recommend building it in paper first to save on the expensive materials

    • @marcodabatman
      @marcodabatman Год назад

      @@TheNextDecade Apologies for the late reply, but was the pattern in this video printed at 95%? or at 100% and that's why you're recommending to scale first at 95?

    • @TheNextDecade

      Hi! It should be scaled to work on Letter and A4!
      Just abjust your print settings to match your paper and you should be good to go.

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  2 года назад

      Until I am more confident in how I show yall how I sew things, I wont be sharing clothing patterns. But I will be working on a simple Rider/Ranger jumpsuit pattern for the show!!! In the meantime, There are great suit makers out there, you just gotta be very clear about what you need!! Also, watch Episode 2 and 4 CLOSELY for a free secret pattern to help with Kamen Rider Ichigo and Nigo cosplay~~
      Next Project is a classic 66 Ultraman mask!!

    • @e-convoy1783
      @e-convoy1783 2 года назад

      Okay, which mask? A type, B-type, or the C-type(common for modern incarnation).
      I also want to ask you, have you tried to do an older Super Sentai Show like Goranger, or (my personal favorite) JAKQ? Or for maybe Hawaii fans Android Kikaider?!

  • @lykarn
    @lykarn Год назад +1

    Is the size of this helmet is free size? Just worry that if i did print it out, it won’t fit to my head.

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  Год назад +1

      This helmet pattern file is a PDF. If it is too big or too small, you can go into your print settings an resize it under "Scale to".
      If you want bigger or smaller, Move your percentage 2.5% up or down, and keep trying till you find a size you like.
      I made this file a little large because most people complain that my helmet patters are too small. Now they say this one is too big. Where are the three bears when you need them?!
      Best of luck finding the right size that fits you. Be sure to tag us on twitter or instagram if you finish your helmet! @TheNextDecade

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  Год назад +1

      hi it's me, mister guy. You can use 4mm-6mm thick foam for this. you could use thicker foam too, but you may have to do more work to get the right shapes out of them. Best of luck!!

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  2 года назад

      You can, however you may have a harder time getting the edges to meet and the parts to cround out and curve. You could also build this in cardstock paper to turn into a Fiberglass helmet.
      All up to you how you wanna use the pattern we made!
      Don't forget, Online retailers sell foam too! Blick Art Supply carries the 6mm thick SKS HD foam I used in this video!

      @@TheNextDecade thanks, also i wanted to ask, I'm planning on making a Kamen rider kuuga (or genm) cosplay made out of cardboard (I found a tutorial on how to do it quite good). Can I use plastic dip to make it look shiny? I searched it up and found out that that's what make the costumes shiny and with that cool aspect but it's said that is used for foam, so Idk if it would work on cardboard

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  Год назад

      @@fabulousjekster28 Sorry I saw this so late! Plastidip will be absorbed by the cardboard. I recommend using PVA glue to form a skin on the cardboard. Plasti Dip will sit much better on that. If you want your plasti dip to be super shiny, look for "Plasti-Dip Glossifier". you can get the same look with acrylic paints too, look for heavy body high pigment paints. Good luck on Kuuga or Genm! Be sure to tag me when you finish, I'd love to see them!
