Singapore not only survived but thrived and my greatest respect for this legendary man.
Lee Kuan Yew Sir, you might not be around but Singaporeans of the Merdeka Generation like me are very proud of this nation. Your vision and determination for Singapore shaped this nation to be a successful country of today. It is an honor to serve this Nation in National Service in the Army between 1978 to 1980. Thank You Singapore for giving us and our children good life. Love this country and its people.

@@homeofsuperheroes7979 there are many things we singaporeans envy about mslaysia too. The beautiful country, wide open spaces, the food, yr varied heritage, yr places of interest, even yr nice people. I have worked with Malaysians. Nice people. My mother was frm malacca. 😀.

One and only... Man of the century. A number of countries (and their followers in Singapore) were so jealous...they tried all the tricks in the book to bring Singapore down, they failed miserably.

Yes, you will survive provided mandated National Services policy continue, your arms forces' ability to defend Singapore remain intact and absolute. Military superiority over your neighbors continue down the road, with 'iron' resolve to defend your country by all means in the face of aggression and provocation or any 1 who want to do you harm. Always remember, racists n extremists from your north and south are waiting 4 opportunity to deny you the rights to survive, live n prosper.

Tengku did us a favour...and we had our great PM Mr Lee to be smart enough to have a contingency plan ready....tHAT was the PAP 's brilliance. They plan for the future...decades in the future.

- newer nations have it easier, they get help in every which way
- he can pick and choose templates and fabricate, from those who went through organic nation building

In those days Malaysia look down on Singapore and kicked her out of the Malaysian federation left her to die thinking she will not survive and will come back begging. Little did they know the person in charge of Singapore was LKY. Today they look at Singapore with jealousy.
