Honestly Microsoft being portrayed as a guy in a suit dancing to his own tune and ignoring the competition because they know they'll always be on top is actually really accurate.
The mac logo accurately represents the feeling you get when you first try one. It looks like an apple somebody just took a bite of and went - Nah! Ima go for something else.
Is that your Mac? Congratulations! You have officially wasted your money! Want something powerful? Buy this : i7-3770K EVGA GTX 690 8GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM 1TB Seagate Barracuda w/ a 256GB Kingston SSD A gold certified 700W power supply to power that monster of a GTX 690, plus some extra space if you want to go SLI. You can get that for the same price of the most powerful Macbook pro...
Proud to be Irish Good points...but does not explain why you want to be one. All laptops are outdated on the assembly line before they hit the stores. Custom Desktops are far more better.
Yes, get a Mac. it will sit there in a corner, useless, being all boring and uninteresting. And you'll get to spend all those dull hours with it, sneaking glances at the cool kids who got PCs and are partying like crazy.
Well... Let's just say that I owned a Mac (actually a Macbook Pro) for 2 ½ years now and, far from sitting in a corner, it works about 14 hours a day. I use it for work (it does an excellent job with word pro, Excel, scientific calculations and graphs, and other work stuff), for leisure (RUclips, facebook, even a pornsite every now and then), games etc. I have never installed any antintivirus, antispyware, antianything in it and it works better (way better) than PC's I previously had. Not to mention Apple's service and help which can, in no way. be compared to Microsoft's "help" which is alway totally exact technically and useless practically. Yes, my 13-inch MBP costs between 2 and 3 times the cost of other 13-inch laptops at purchase. However, if I compare with my previous Dell, Acer and Sony, each costed me much more than my Mac if we include buying softwares that are either free or cost $2.95 with Macs, immediate free response from the Mac Geniuses instead of costly calls to repair technicians, immediate assistance from 1-800-MYAPPLE, immediate of lost data with automatic Apple's "Time Machine" (free with every Mac), etc. etc. etc. And I did not mention the cost of downtime I experienced with my previous computers.
Tahititoutou First, just to get this out of the way, my comment was more addressed at the commercial, and how it failed in my opinion, because it presents Macs as being boring and PCs as fun. Secondly, my PC works without any issues for just as long, and maybe longer, than you Mac. So no real competition there. Then there are the things you say you do with your Mac. Work things like that can be carried out, with no problems, with a $300 second hand laptop. Games... depends on your idea of games. And you cannot really compare the Mac you have now with the PCs you used to have. They are generations apart. It comes down to what you want, really. I cannot see the appeal of an Apple computer. I have tried, but they feel restrictive. I can have all that a Mac gives you, but at a way lower price, with a PC. Everything. You might complain about tech support. I never used it. The internet has all the answers at your finger tips. You can complain about programs. I don't. There are plenty to choose from, and most of the times, the free alternatives work flawlessly. So all i can say is... enjoy your Mac. I'll be enjoying my PC.
Cristi Neagu If I understand this last message well, in your first comment above you said the contrary of what you think as a form of sarcasm... Sorry, I did not see it. You are too convincing! LOL! My idea of games? I don't really play... Just once in a while and not sophisticates games (Hearts, chess...). You say "I cannot see the appeal of an Apple computer. I have tried, but they feel restrictive". Yes : one has to change some habits, some automatic ways of doing things when one changes from a PC to a Mac or vice-versa. So, if you just "tried" a Mac, of course the Mac will feel restrictive. The same would happen to a Mac user trying a PC. I had the same impression at first. It takes a while getting used to either. I totally agree with your last paragraph relating you never use tech support, help, about the tips on Internet etc. These are perfect for computer nerds, which I am not. I want my computer to be a tool or a toy I work or play WITH, not IN. Since I use it professionally, I cannot afford any downtime. And since I am not fluent with computereze, many times I don't understand those "answers" you mention. So, bored and tired, fed up with Microsoft's "help", I got a Mac. I never regretted this decision so far.
After buying a pre owned macbook of ebay (it has chips taken off the plastic, and the middle section of the keyboard didnt work) we basically just took it into the nearest Apple shop and told them, 'this keyboard doesnt work', so they said 'yeah we can fix that, and we have noticed you have some chips on your shell'. So after handing it in they gave it back the day after, fully functional, and with a brand knew shell all for free.
"A study by Soluto, which provides remote management tools for PCs, recorded information on 224,144 crashes and 84,251 blue-screens. It then used "frustration analytics" to work out which computer offered the most trouble-free operation. The MacBook Pro 13 beat more traditional Windows-running rivals from Acer, Dell and Lenovo...." Would you like to go on?
Correct. Even Cygwin, the UNIX bash shell for Windows, is incapable of running full-fledged programs natively on the Windows OS. The reverse is the same thing. It reminds me of so many Mac people who still, to this day, consistently ask how to run .EXE files on a Mac. You'd think it would be self-explanatory, but it's not, I guess.
Of course! There are many art programs for artists that use Windows. Mac however comes with it and it's all setup. Plus with all the testing that goes into a Mac the less worry they have about data loss.
uhm i use macs for their media accessibility for gaming. And by the way i can play Crysis 3 on medium settings with high texture, Anisotropic Filtering 16X, Motion Blur to Medium and it runs just fine with boot camp.
I'm a PC but i let you in on a secret, some computers have a limit on how much memory they can hold, the limit is determined by both your operating system and your motherboard
This makes me want to buy a PC
Honestly Microsoft being portrayed as a guy in a suit dancing to his own tune and ignoring the competition because they know they'll always be on top is actually really accurate.
notice they stopped making these commercials after windows 7 thats how badass it is
Ever since Mr Bean invented that dance, Mr Bombastic never sounds the same without him.
9 years later I can confirm that I feel the same.
10 years later i can confirm
this proves that pcs are funkier than macs xD
Mac froze so many times.
ha ha pc has more style than mac
I used to practice this dance on shower
Master it and women won't be able to resist.
The mac logo accurately represents the feeling you get when you first try one. It looks like an apple somebody just took a bite of and went - Nah! Ima go for something else.
0:35 Very subtle lol!

its the fact i bought i macbook from 2009 and they still would just do it up. The GENIUS bar is very helpful.

Hi I am a mac and i am a peace of shit!
Hi I am a Mac, and I wish I was a mac ._.
Why would you wish to be something that will be trash within 5 years or a bit more.
DestructiveBurn Because after 6 years any laptop is shit and you can still resell a macbook thats 5+ years old for a hundred euros
Proud to be Irish Good points...but does not explain why you want to be one.
All laptops are outdated on the assembly line before they hit the stores.
Custom Desktops are far more better.
DestructiveBurn why would you want to be a windows computer anymore than any other computer so
thats exactly why pc is sooooooo much more awesome than the boring mac that you cant play awesome games on!!!
hahaha i can't stop laughing even when its in mute hahaha

Useless comment. I bet you have not even bought a Mac and worked on it.
Jakester! - The Darude Comment Critic I don't need to buy a Mac to know what it's like. Your comment is useless.
Same, all MAX settings, 4xAA, Ambient Occlusion, etc. Uses just over 60% avg. of each GPU :D
more than that, he's paid twice the price for half the computing power
If I was shopping for a computer this would only make me get a PC.

Of course! There are many art programs for artists that use Windows. Mac however comes with it and it's all setup. Plus with all the testing that goes into a Mac the less worry they have about data loss.
