    I just loved Bones.
It was such a simple show with lovable characters.
When Dr. Sweets died, it just broke my heart to see Daisy struggle as a new mom, all alone.
The beginning seasons were hilarious because you could feel the romantic tension between Brennan and Booth.
I’ve seen every episode at least 5 times and I don’t regret a thing.
Bones taught me a lot about priorities and ethics.
A lot of people put it off as a “gore fest” and while there are some risky episodes, Bones was a lot more dynamic than that.

Aaron Levine Castle was more fun, but I don't think it was necessarily better. I enjoyed both shows up until about season 6. The last two seasons of Castle were just painful. I did go back and watch up through season 10 of Bones right before season 11, but never made it to those last couple of seasons. Each show has episodes that I regularly go back and watch though.

      Yeah.
Castle was really fun around season 4 ish.
Castle is one of those rare shows where the middle seasons were the absolute best.
The beginning was good also, with all the romantic tension between Castle and Beckett, each episode was so fun.
Castle was never too serious, (well, until the last two seasons.)
But yeah, a lot of shows lose their charm, that only happened with Castle in the *very end*
      Because of Nathan Fillion‘s charm.
But, I think all of you have to agree with me, *Ryan and Esposito were the best parts of the show.*
They were just so good at being the comic relief and they were so freaking funny.
*Remember the “Ass-posito” episode where Ryan shot Esposito in the ass, oh my god, pure gold.*

Jonathan Adams, I believe, never signed on as a series regular, and according to Hanson his character was meant to be an in-house administrator with a backstory in archaeology, so there would be no reason to use him outside the lab. They thought this would work at first because they wanted to spend more of the show's time in the lab, but as fans started to prefer the Brennan/Booth dynamic in the field, they decided they couldn't keep underutilizing Goodman's character, so they ended up replacing him with a boss they thought would make more sense in a field role as sort of a mediator for the Jeffersonian and the FBI

I actually loved him more than Camille, but I guess I was in the minority. I thought of him as the male counter-part to Brenan. I felt they complimented each other well, he had the intellect she could respect, but be the authority figure status she sometimes needed, and the social skills for her to know that intellect isn't enough to be a good boss. I felt Camille never truly became the authority figure she needed to be for someone in her position, even though she tried. I cant remember the season/episode, she admitted as much to Bones when she said the line "no Bones I worked for you".

I admit my first impression of Bones was entirely negative then for a while it seemed okay but my first impression is the right one. Bones is little more than a hyper romanticized expression of lust in the work place. Then try to justify it with marriage and or pregnancies etc. If they stuck to the crime I would have enjoyed it more but this seems to be the sort of program Weinstein would watch and say see no one acts like a professional in this business.

The Jeffersonian is a real place, but not called that. I did my teacher training there. I watched the show for a few years, but it just got dumber and dumber. The nerd factor and forensics just seem to get worse and worse until Deschenel was just pulling a UV flashlight out of her purse and finding glowing blood evidence everywhere. Screenwriting tip - the audience likes it when the show is two steps ahead of us, not two steps behind.

They should have done an episode where Angela gets Herpes simplex 2 or some sort of STB AIDS would be too harsh but a possibility. I enjoyed the show the development of the characters to a point, but it seems like if you are not having an affair with a co worker you are not having an affair with anyone. Its a bit weird that way and more suggestive of how the Hollywood casting couch works its way down and into even good story lines.

I always wondered about Bones state of mind. She ticked a lot of boxes both for asperger syndrome (mild form of autism; in particular inability to understand humor, sarcasm and bodylanguage...) and for sociopathy (not a full blown psychopath, but someone with limited empathy, a very utilitarian, rather insensitive approach to things and a certain disregard for social norms).
In several episodes it was hinted that she had no issue of breaking the law, hurt, maim or kill someone, if the situation requires it. I think that was the true reason, why Booth didn't want Bones having a gun, for the off chance that they ran into a criminal...
Moreover, Booth loves Bones, but I'm not that sure if it's reciprocal. She chose him, for his body and social status and didn't even bother to hide that fact.
Where I really had to laugh was when she contemplated dissecting animals with her kid both for educational purposes and for developing fine motor skills... Booth wasn't amused...

The untold truth: how much does it cost to investigate a single murder that draws on so many - and very expensive - resources, when simple rape kits go unanalyzed by the thousands for lack of funds.
The only time they ever expressed concerns about cost was in an episode when they needed gold as a catalyst. Since gold usually goes a long way in its application, and an ounce being about $1100, I thought that was actually one of their more cost=efficient investigations.

Perhaps they could have had him be the body Bones would have to see while Walter and Booth are looking for the gypsy girl.

They had the story line all laid out for a 23 episode run, then the writers strike happened. They had to condense what was the last 13 episode into 5 or 6, that's why it felt so awkward and didn't make sense.

I liked the show, except for Emily Deschanel. She just isn't as good an actor as the rest of the cast and her character was completely unbelievable (in part due to the fact that the character sucked in addition to her acting. Tj Thyne's character, Hodgins, was probably the most believable. The show's attempts at political and social commentary were also very much unappreciated and unnecessary.
