But now, starting to understand the body’s fluctuations, this video really does help understand the importance of how, what, and when to eat. I sincerely hope this channel gets put on peoples front page more. I'm a full time commercial mechanic but love playing shooters and such after work and have for 10 years. Your wrist, shoulder and neck videos helped me tremendously this past month after a dirtbike incident left me on FMLA for a few weeks. Thank you for the dedicated, accurate and honest content man.

I managed to start an intermittent fasting by accident because I fucked up my sleep schedule and ate breakfeast at like 11am instead of 7:30am and dinner at my usual time of 7pm.

Hey, I was just wondering why you only recommend water and black coffee for fasting? I was wondering because I still want to use energy mixes (gfuel, raze, gsupps, etc.) and do a form of that fasting, is there a particular reason we should not or just recommended we somewhat stay away from it?
There’s conflicting thoughts on what does and does not break a fast. If you want to be completely safe, then black coffee, water, and tea are the safe bets. You could possibly get away with using energy drinks if they do not contain maltodextrin but depending on how sensitive your insulin response is, it may break your fast. The only real way to know how your body reacts is by testing your blood sugar before and after. At that point, you may be chasing perfection over progress. I’d say you’re ok with a drink that contains no maltodextrin and if you don’t see the results you’d like, then you know the first thing to change. Hope that helps!
It really depends on the person. A lot of people who do extreme dieting, keto or otherwise, only stick with them long enough to lose water weight. Then they go back to eating “normally” and tend to binge eat. They gain that water weight back quickly and that’s when you hear stories like this. I’ve done keto on and off for 2 years and when I’d come off it, I only saw a minimal weight gain.
Those macros ain't bad, I only see meal replacement shakes with added fat and sugar to bump the calories up. I'd rather they used oats or some kind of thickening agent to add some volume, a shake won't fill you for long.
I honestly don’t make many recipes when on keto, I’m usually just eating meat with some sort of veggie. I’d recommend joining the keto subreddit as I’ve seen lots of recipes there.
This reminded me of how bad the cereal I ate as a kid was. I would eat frosted flakes but I'd add like two spoonfuls of sugar, glad I'm not addicted to sugar now.😅
Great video! I'm like you, in that I prefer to keep my carbs somewhat low in order to consume more fat and feel satiated. I still include fruits and sweet potatoes in my diet so my target is more like 40/30/30 Fat Protein Carbs. It's a balanced diet and I feel good so far with carbs at around 100g/day.

The ingredients in CTRL aren’t the same as the energy drinks with all the active ingredients with a specific purpose. The powder has a lot of vitamins and minerals and some ingredients I thought were worth mentioning like the maltodextrin and artificial coloring/sweeteners. I see why you’d expect it from the channel but it didn’t seem appropriate for the product. Maybe I was wrong?

Unfortunately, this is more a problem with our country as opposed to the diets. “Healthy foods” tend to cost more in America. When I do intermittent fasting and keto, I feel like I save money because while meat is expensive, I don’t buy too many other things. The diet is simplified and so are my groceries.

Nah not really. Just smaller portion. Not as many vitamins or calories but relying on one drink for all of that isn’t ideal.
