Can you give a more detailed install? I upgraded to a 4080 and have this exact PSU and I’d like to see a thorough PSU install with the 16 pin (12VHPWR) cable
@@serbelike Everything's been good thanks bro and the power supply has been brilliant for me, it's really quite, i've not had any problems at all with it mate, i'm glad i got it
Well NVIDIA says the cable issues weren't so much the bend but rather the plug not being pushed in far enough. But this cable isn't as rigid as the NVIDIA adapter so it also helps prevent damage.
hi, so the question is, do you use that one CPU cable 8+8 pin to the motherboard 8+8 and it is full support power like if you connect 2 separate cables with 8pin each ?
You can use that one 8x8 cable and connect both ends to the board. The cables can max out at 336W of power. Unless you’re doing extreme overclocking, that power is more than enough. Even overlocked, the most powerful CPU uses 270W.
@@GLITCHEDZA cool, tnx for the answer, i have this same psu with the ryzen 9 7950x3d with x870 motherboard, so i was woried, now i'm not thanks to you👍
Can I use it on a 3090 that uses three 6+2 pcie slots? I tough there would be an adapter cable in the box to split the 12hvpwr into two pcie 6+2. Thanks!
It is compatible but you won't use the 16-pin connector as the 7900 XTX doesn't use this NVIDIA-specific pin. You'll just use a PCIE cable instead. Kinda a waste if you think about it. Would rather just get a standard PSU. Unless you're planning on upgrading to a 40-Series card with the 16-pin connector.

Yes there are PCI-E cables and slots on the PSU too which you can use to power your GPU as usual. When you upgrade to the 40-Series you can then switch over to the 12VHPWR cable.

how to connect cpu power
Using the CPU/PCIE wire and connector from the PSU to the motherboard. It is all fairly simple. Identical to other power supplies
