I love the ending of one normal night (Wednesday’s “all I want, all I ask” bit with the ensemble) and the addition of Lucas’s verse in the Broadway version. However, the walking to the original theme and Mortica’s interruption with Wednesday trying to argue with her is so good. If they could combine the two versions, this song would be even more perfect!!
I saw this yesterday in Cincinnati and the reaction from the audience was priceless when Wednesday says that they're from Ohio (dialogue has since changed from this particular recording, but the Ohio lines are still there). Sooooo funny!!!
@jessmarie12953 The idea of the character is precisely that, that she's being transformed, at the beginning of the show she is like Christinia Riccir style, then she is "pulled into a new direction" that's why she is witty and bright
One of my favorite songs in the show! Does anyone else just snap out of habit when they hear the Addams Family theme song? I know I do, lol. Sometimes I don't even know I'm doing it.
i still believe the best part of this song is the vocals for 'mom this is not about you!' - the tune is so pretty
That Adams Family Theme in the end and them walking gets me so hype and I don’t know why, I wish they could have kept it

I love lurch just slowly walking back as the song ends, it's one of the genius things about this show that I love so much
the Chicago version is so much better, and it's a lot richer with addams family references

I'm bummed they took out the Addams Family theme section in the broadway version :(

Is it just me, or is the casts random Carols one of the most iconic parts of this song?
I love that the song included a call-back to the original 1964 Addams Family series with the awesome "Foghorn Doorbell" SFX at the end!
I wish they kept it this way, I think this version is much better.

Oh I love Nathan Lane. Wish I could have seen the show.
When she said it's almost six o'clock I looked at the clock and it said 5:58 pm O_O
i love the way Lurch snaps during the theme song. lol
Normal is an illusion <3 LOVEEE
I was the bride in my colleges performance of this musical and it was the hardest yet funnest show I’ve ever been in
This version is honestly so much better in my opinion, that last part sounds so much more richer, and it just feel ethereal even. If you wanna know:
