I have spent much of my free time diving into ancient history with similar questions about patriarchy and feminism on my mind. I read Beard, Wilkerson, Weil, Power Privilege and Difference, learned about how Christianity evolved from the early church and considered the influences of Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Canaanite societies, and on and on. The more I learned the more I realized how much more there was to learn. I discovered things that challenged the original foundations of my faith and loved making connections between seemingly disparate topics. I felt so strongly about what I was learning that I considered returning to school for theology, but that really is not realistic for me. Finding your work has been enlightening. Many half baked thoughts in my mind are now beautiful loaves of bread with the right ingredients. Your work has strengthened me on my own path and my ability to communicate my perspectives more readily with those around me. I can focus more on what I do have to contribute which is art. Much support and gratitude, so be it

I think it's very important and a major credit that you have friends and loved ones on "both sides" politically. I do too, but seems few do and most people become so tribal, acting like the other side are complete morons, or worse, evil, without understanding reasons they may have for their leanings. I hope this channel reaches many! Your intellectual and compassionate approach is a welcome breath of fresh air.

i won a whole volleyball set on my own just using my serve. COED teams, the males were fairly mad a little 5'3" woman destroyed their pride so easily. It's pretty clear size doesn't matter in all sports so it depends on the sport~

One comment, though: the problem with democracy is that in majority rule, there is no reason for the minority to continue to participate, since they've lost before they start. I don't have an answer, and I'm definitely no advocate of consensus-based systems (at least not if you want to accomplish anything), but there's a problem there that *needs* thinking through.
I played co-ed soccer as an adult and it was great until we made it to the finals. I'm female and a woman from the opposing team said, "Get the little girl!" Well, she meant me, and a guy from their team kicked the soccer ball as hard as he could into my stomach. I went to the side and walked off the pain and got back in the game but I never played again after that. I'd just lost my zeal for it, among other unrelated reasons. I believe the patriarchy exists because men are stronger than most women on the whole, and they can beat us up anytime they want to when push comes to shove. Good news - chocolate is a vegetable. 😋🍫

They spend half their time in a patriarchal culture. I'd like them to understand the water they are swimming in, but I also want to keep from overwhelming them.

Your channel is very young, has no add sense, no patreon etc but the production value is quite high, not asking about your personal day to day, but how's the channel getting paid for? Grant, cooperate backing, you just happen to be independently wealthy? Where funding comes from matters in as much as it can color the messaging, so I would like to know. Also if you two Are funding this whole thing privately I think you should get a Patreon or Ko-Fi and memberships when the become available to you this is real labor, you deserve to be paid for it (maybe a bit of inherent patriarchy is thinking caring and teaching don't count as real labor ;) )
