That save by grapenthin at the end is one of the greatest I've ever seen....couple of years previous to this Jena played my team West Brom in the UEFA cup and he was immense then....they were a damn good side back then
Great to watch this game again and to see Somerton Park so full, what a good team Newport had then and how unlucky they were that night. Nice to see Newport having a good run in the FA Cup this season and sure they will give my team Man City a good game in the next round. I am old enough to remember City getting knocked out by Halifax & Shrewsbury, surely can't happen again, can it ? Good luck to Newport and their fantastic supporters for the rest of the season and coming seasons.

Thanks for a great upload. I remembered this cup run as I watched highlights of the defeat of Leeds. It seems to me one of those last gap clearances was in fact well over the line. The result was a travesty.
Remember listening to this game on Radio Wales. Lost count of the number of times I heard the commentator (I think it was Ron Jones) say "It's there!!! No... off the line!"

newport can't qualify for europe now as they don't play in welsh cup anymore...they would have to get to final of fa cup now to have a chance of more European glory nights.
