guys i found this secret, its called the game over screen so basically once you get all three key parts and out the together you find jevil. Fight him for bthe first time and theres a chance that you might get the game over screen

For the purposes of this comment, im going to talk about the XBOX 1 S controller(I have experience with it) Step 1) Download and setup Steam(optional) Self explanitory, Toby uploads to Steam anyway. Step 2) Identify Drivers needed, and download them. Documentation will be your friend here. Best bet is to google "X controller Driver" and search for a bit. The file your looking for should be named with a bunch of random numbers and letters. Step 3) plug and play Take a Type B charging cable( might differ depending on the controller) and plug it into a empty USB port. I think capitalised theme titles will be a staple of Hidden Bosses in each chapter of Deltarune. It feels natural for the motif of mentally deranged characters, which by the similarities of Spamton and Jevil every future hidden boss will be, and they'll follow the same backstory outline of: 1- the character lives their life in some form of normalcy 2- they are contacted by... someone, who it is we dont know (for sure, i know there's hints about Gaster's involvement) 3- they slowly turn insane, yet stronger and stronger 4- something is done to shut down the source of their power (Jevil was locked away in his "freedom", Spamton lost his contact with the man who was keeping his business alive) 5- Over the course of the chapter, the fun gang release the character (Jevil and Spamton NEO)
There are way more songs that are in all caps, Like ,ANOTHER HIM, for instance. THE WORLD REVOLVING AND ANOTHER HIM both seem to have Gaster’s theme in it, so that’s interesting. And gaster seems to speak in all caps at the start of deltarune chapter 1

This really represents Jevil. Though he tries to kill you, as any boss does, he isn't a villain. He just does whatever, knowing there won't be any consequences, because he knows Deltarune is just a computer game and that he's just another character, and that everyone's fate is decided by the player- If the player decides to play Deltarune, they will live on, and if they stop, everything will pause until the player comes back, and if they just ultimately stop forever, their entire coded universe will be doomed to an infinite time stop, and simply having that knowledge is what made Jevil insane, and that's exactly how this OST captures him. Triumphant, Chaotic, but nowhere near malicious.

There was one with Marx’s, Jevil’s, Joka’s, and someone else’s, I forget who, but it was the 4 reality bending video game clowns and it was called “It’s a Joke”
I think the reason why Chapter 1 has only one ending compared to Chapter 2 was to reflect how Jevil thought the world was enslaved, while in his own discarded space, he was free to do what he wanted. He even invites you to his space after solving his riddle to experience what he had to offer. But when he couldn't beat "you", he offered himself. And if Spamton can call you out after noticing your inventory's full, after transforming, they most likely are alive. But they keep quiet, keeping their "freedom" to themselves. But what would happen if the world was discarded, cast in the dark with no way to call for their own space? Would they snap back, ready to call the world theirs again? Or would they sit back and watch what Kris is up to as an audience, assured that Kris can't see beyond the fourth wall, let alone "determined" to go beyond the stage?
I don't think he ever actually lost to you, he just wanted to play a game and he wanted to make it engaging. Sending a million diamonds at you until you die on the first turn wouldn't be engaging. He can do anything, but he won't do anything. (Also yes, I think in the pacifist route he does actually get tired. Just because he can do anything doesn't mean he's immune to tiredness. Same goes for depleting his HP.)
I think it’s because chapter one needs to set the ideas that your choices don’t matter and future chapters need to break the idea.. also “your choices don’t matter” is just kill or be killed 2.0

I love the idea of a world with it's characters based off of well known simple game rules, everyone can understand that Jevil is the joker card, and thats why he's the most powerful one, but is also imprisoned, because that's how most card games work.
I'm having flashbacks to deltarune the not musical holy crap this song is more energetic and nostalgic than i remember. The fast paced background notes, the rapid jevil bouncing sprite, the PAIN that is this fight, it all adds up to this giant chaotic bop of a track. You could say the song can do anything.
Damn, I remover trying to beat Jevil on Switch. Who knows how determined I was to beat him. I tried so many times to beat his fun numbers game. I would get closer and closer to the end, but I didn’t know that at the time. And when I finally did, I felt so accomplished when I got his tail. I haven’t even beat Undyne the Undying at that point. And y’know what? I think that fight helped me out. The World Revolving is wonderful, and Jevil is amazing and one of the most memorable characters in Deltarune. I love the guy. Revtrosity helped with that love, of course. The SALOT as Jevil trilogy was great. Still subbed to him today.
Man, finally… I understood the whole essence of Jevil. As a Joker card, he can be everything and everyone that he want in this world.If he escapes that prison and the card world, he just would be an ordinary jester.He want all that power and might, that he has only in this little prison of freedom… actually genius character
Just thought of something. Since most of the enemies are representatives of playing cards, Jevil is most likely representing the joker card, which is unused in many games, so perhaps his jail is simply the card box?
Still the best secret boss! Spamton is definitely a great character, but he's so convoluted. He's a salesman but also a spam email but also a puppet but also a Mettaton wannabe but also a has-been big shot. It's a lot like that modern reboot of a show which adds unnecessary 'depth' and backstories to characters you're just supposed to laugh at or hate. Almost as if Toby tried really hard to upstage a character that worked perfectly for his role and ended up having to make him more niche. Jevil is just pure, unapologetic chaos, and I love him for that. He's a great and clever metaphor in so many ways for being a joker without making them too complicated; is still great theory fuel despite having such little screen-time and without spelling it out; has ever-so-slightly better battle music (I think); and is still the hardest boss in Deltarune. Once again, not denying Spamton is still a great character.
I agree with this assessment. I appreciate Spamton for his depth of character and the tragedy of his story, but Jevil is a much more intriguing character to me because of his (sort of) all-powerful nature and his driving factor seemingly being simply to make both himself and the player have a fun time.
Im sorry but spamton is just a hundred times better just because of his backstory and symbolism, hell even his songs alone beat Jevil's. Toby did his character well and executed it perfectly, you just can't disagree.

This really represents Jevil. Though he tries to kill you, as any boss does, he isn't a villain. He just does whatever, knowing there won't be any consequences, because he knows Deltarune is just a computer game and that he's just another character, and that everyone's fate is decided by the player- If the player decides to play Deltarune, they will live on, and if they stop, everything will pause until the player comes back, and if they just ultimately stop forever, their entire coded universe will be doomed to an infinite time stop, and simply having that knowledge is what made Jevil insane, and that's exactly how this OST captures him. Triumphant, Chaotic, but nowhere near malicious.

I think the reason why Chapter 1 has only one ending compared to Chapter 2 was to reflect how Jevil thought the world was enslaved, while in his own discarded space, he was free to do what he wanted. He even invites you to his space after solving his riddle to experience what he had to offer. But when he couldn't beat "you", he offered himself. And if Spamton can call you out after noticing your inventory's full, after transforming, they most likely are alive. But they keep quiet, keeping their "freedom" to themselves.
But what would happen if the world was discarded, cast in the dark with no way to call for their own space? Would they snap back, ready to call the world theirs again? Or would they sit back and watch what Kris is up to as an audience, assured that Kris can't see beyond the fourth wall, let alone "determined" to go beyond the stage?
I don't think he ever actually lost to you, he just wanted to play a game and he wanted to make it engaging. Sending a million diamonds at you until you die on the first turn wouldn't be engaging. He can do anything, but he won't do anything.
(Also yes, I think in the pacifist route he does actually get tired. Just because he can do anything doesn't mean he's immune to tiredness. Same goes for depleting his HP.)

I'm having flashbacks to deltarune the not musical holy crap this song is more energetic and nostalgic than i remember. The fast paced background notes, the rapid jevil bouncing sprite, the PAIN that is this fight, it all adds up to this giant chaotic bop of a track.

Damn, I remover trying to beat Jevil on Switch. Who knows how determined I was to beat him. I tried so many times to beat his fun numbers game. I would get closer and closer to the end, but I didn’t know that at the time. And when I finally did, I felt so accomplished when I got his tail. I haven’t even beat Undyne the Undying at that point. And y’know what? I think that fight helped me out. The World Revolving is wonderful, and Jevil is amazing and one of the most memorable characters in Deltarune. I love the guy.
Revtrosity helped with that love, of course. The SALOT as Jevil trilogy was great. Still subbed to him today.
Man, finally… I understood the whole essence of Jevil. As a Joker card, he can be everything and everyone that he want in this world.If he escapes that prison and the card world, he just would be an ordinary jester.He want all that power and might, that he has only in this little prison of freedom… actually genius character
Just thought of something. Since most of the enemies are representatives of playing cards, Jevil is most likely representing the joker card, which is unused in many games, so perhaps his jail is simply the card box?
This sounds like a circus that seems way too chaotic and crazy! 0:41-1:00 probably my favourite bit of the song.

Spamton is definitely a great character, but he's so convoluted. He's a salesman but also a spam email but also a puppet but also a Mettaton wannabe but also a has-been big shot. It's a lot like that modern reboot of a show which adds unnecessary 'depth' and backstories to characters you're just supposed to laugh at or hate. Almost as if Toby tried really hard to upstage a character that worked perfectly for his role and ended up having to make him more niche.
Jevil is just pure, unapologetic chaos, and I love him for that. He's a great and clever metaphor in so many ways for being a joker without making them too complicated; is still great theory fuel despite having such little screen-time and without spelling it out; has ever-so-slightly better battle music (I think); and is still the hardest boss in Deltarune.
Once again, not denying Spamton is still a great character.
I agree with this assessment. I appreciate Spamton for his depth of character and the tragedy of his story, but Jevil is a much more intriguing character to me because of his (sort of) all-powerful nature and his driving factor seemingly being simply to make both himself and the player have a fun time.
