Cape York: Punsand Bay shortcut to The Tip - Part Two

The Misadventure 4WD Cape Escape 2012 reaches the Tip of Cape York. Rather than go back dow to the Croc Tent and up the main road, in typical Misadventure 4WD style, head across country via a little-known shortcut that brings them out right near the tip of Australia. Deep mud holes and wild articulations make this one of the best sections on the Cape.

The fishing off the rocks right on the tip can be absolutely sensational. You might even spot turtles, dugongs and some big sharks. They come right up to the rocks and check you out. The bird life is great too.

Unfortunately mike our eldest is sitting hsc exams in 2016 so I don't think we'll have the chance to get away for long enough. Mind you I could always impose on the grandparents for a month or so ;-)

What tyre pressures were u running

I was running 24 psi in my tyres. Unless it gets really gnarly (or on the beach) i find that 24 in the larger muddies is just about right.

Do all the car have lockers?

The Challenger has a rear locker, The Landcruiser has a rear locker, the Disco4 has a rear e-locker and the Triton has front and rear lockers. The Defender and Disco 2 are stock.
