    Roadmap for Learning
    * Top-Down Approach: Build a project first, then learn the theory.
    * Open Source Contribution: It's essential for understanding industry standards.
    * Twitter Showcasing: An underrated way to get noticed.
    * Targeting Early-Stage Startups: Show them how you can add value.

@@shahbazansari623 His answer is vague. What you should do is,
      1. Know the basics i.e, data types, arrays, loops etc.
      2. Pick a basic project i.e, ToDo etc.
      3. Stuck somewhere? Google or use any AI tool to understand concept around it.
      4. Repeat with another project (Complexity should be higher than previous one)

Was not here for 5 crore roadmap. Was here for any advice I can get. The best one for me was to look at open source projects. I have not yet done so other than few times. All of the ones I saw were overwhelming to me will all the tests, two dozen config files, docker, ci cd actions and so much more jargon. Also I now know that I am lacking feedback for my personal small projects from seniors in the field.

You will start to know all the tech that is out there I mean the things that are possible with tech right now. Ex: You are a student everything is new for you but when you're in top 1% you know the extent of the tech where and what can be done with it. Hope you get my point.

Absolutely yes, DSA is the very boring thing to do.
Few months ago, I went for an interview for frontend developer vacancy and in interview he didn't ask any question related to React and JavaScript with me . He just gave me a Problem regarding Recursion and I didn't even start learning DSA before that so I failed . After that I decided to learn DSA and still I don't have any kind of interest in DSA even after knowing the market reality.

If you have learnt solidty then pick few chain Eth , Polygon etc then learn how to deploy your smart contract there.
Then try to look at the backend part a bit of grpc and Web3 js, and then learn more things concepts around blockchains , how scaling up chain works different approach , then I will suggest learning more of consensus mechanism actually that is what differentiate a blockchain from other , read something white paper , see some of their implementation.
Finally build some project ask chatGpt to suggest some , make sure some are bit useful to startups or people in general , or write some blings along with that.

I don't know about this 5 cr. I don't think it's possible for me at least. All I want just 25000-30000 BDT per month which can feed my family and really enough to rent a good home where I live. It's the definition of happiness for me as I can take care of my own people and also can build the dream projects by myself as coding is my only passion.
I'm in your cohort and really trying hard. Hope I can achieve this within 2024. Can I ?

Appreciate the insights kirat! Good to know all these stuff.
iam an aspiring Full stack developer and It seems like DSA challenges are more the norm.
i was Wondering if i can make it in interviews relying solely on development skills without studying DSA at all? I totally hate DSA!!..What's your take?

    • @amlan7502
      @amlan7502 5 месяцев назад +2

You can "make it" to interview rounds relying solely on your resume's projects (assuming they are industrial level/highly innovative projects) but you probably won't make it past that. The reason is "How do they measure your problem-solving skills?".
Sure, you can be commanded to a beautiful frontend or build a robust backend, but what if you run into a problem, you have never faced before (which is going to happen if you manage to crack a product-based company). Do you have what it takes to think your way out of this head-hitting problems? How is the recruiter supposed to measure that?
You might answer, " Well I will learn how to do that by completing a few real-life based projects from the ed-tech creators much like Harkirat."
The thing is, project building tutorials/videos are excellent cause they provide us, students, with the norm that veterans/industry experts like Harkirat or Phillip Lackner keep in mind whilst coding, but you never get to the depth of the well cause for you the water is available right at the top. These experts grinded hours and hours to level themselves up and this sort of thinking to solve a new problem or as we call it in the industry, "they improvised their problem-solving skills."
So why DSA? DSA are not just some random CS concepts which are bound to be impractical for something like software engineering. No, most CS concepts including DSA have been designed in order to get your brain thinking along the right path. In order to develop that pattern recognition and error solving mechanism of your own, you need to grind hard on Leetcode.
It may be a harsh reality, but it is true. DSA is crucial for you to be able to think of designing a product in an efficient manner so that it can scaled and extended easily in future. That's what differentiates an average software engineer from a good one.
What Kirat meant here when he said, "DSA isn't essential" is "DSA is not enough". In this hypercompetitive job market, everyone is expected to have more than decent problem-solving skills even for a low-paying 9-5 job role. So, DSA is not the only key factor as it used to be. Nowadays, you need to have a handy skillset ready in order to be employable.
All in all, grind Leetcode, do some projects, understand the underlying concepts and keep asking 'why' and you are set-up for success.

@@amlan7502 Thank you so much for taking your time to share the insights.
Considering your valuable advice, I've decided to start learning DSA from scratch. If you don't mind, could you provide me with a step-by-step approach to get started? I would love to follow a path that has worked well for others.
