Danie from Australia is hilarious :) I really like her
Someone else who loves Children Of The Universe? 😍
I like the song but not the singer.
SHE WAS MY 3RD... ROBBED
Iago she deserved top 10!
One of my all-time favourites in Eurovision! Absolutely love that song
It's my favourite
"Are they trying to fold a fitted sheet?" I'm dying.
After the announcement of the change in selection I am quietly hopeful that the 2020’a will be the UK’s comeback!!
Don't count on it. The BBC will ruin it as always. They stuffed the national finals up every year just to say it's not working. It's a joke.... Itv take over pleasd
@@samrabey89 How would ITV do things differently? The Wogan effect still lingers to this day.
Do you think brexit will have anything to do with it? Because 2017 was good staging and great song but it was let down!
Thats what the brits says EVERY year xD
Johan Thunberg yeah but 2017 had a little bit of a point
It deserved more and it was either a coincidence or brexit
Lucy was so underrated!! She Deserved that top 10.
LUCIE JONES jury gave 99 points but televoters gave ONLY 12 POINTS!
Great video guys! Here's where I stand:
2010 - pretty much what everyone else said, sounded like it was from the year 2000.
2011 - I wonder how it would've done if it wasn't performed by BLUE..
2012 - Good singer - underwhelming song.
2013 - I believe in Bonnie, but not the song.
2014 - An improvement in staging and song, which was reflected somewhat in the results.
2015 - ...
2016 - Fresh and different for the UK, the result wasn't deserved.
2017 - Welcome to the 2010s UK! I would place this in the top 10.
2018 - Sweet performer... weak song.
2019 - V O C A L S!! 11 points????? Really?
In summation: Most of the entries feel as though the UK is trying to solve a points puzzle, and it shows. It might be better to take a cue from the Netherlands, and send something coming from a more genuine place.
Best of luck in the next decade!
Sandra Esc 2015 - .........😂
Man, I tell you, Eurovision fans are some of the harshest and most stone cold people I've ever met: they aren't afraid to offend people AT ALL!
Edit: No hate though, I liked this video.
@Daeva Tollnes Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time interact with your audience. It's people like you (all) I really appreciate!
And yes, all music lovers are like that, but what I specifically wanted was to point out the Eurovision fandom. I've seen really toxic, abusive, racist, hypocritical, and so forth, people in this community who just can't settle differences and think that said opinion is concrete and unchangeable: It's just sad.
If my comment offended the Eurovision Hub staff in any way, I'm sorry. I didn't intend to direct it at you all and I probably should have posted it at a discussion where it was better suited.
@Daeva Tollnes Thanks for clarifying that, I'm just always so nervous I'll offend somebody because I'm not great with words 🙂. Have a good day!
@Daeva Tollnes a bit late but you are one of my favourites. But a few of the others seem to only have lemons for breakfast
Sam Ryder represented UK at Eurovision Song Contest last year with his song Space Man and then he reach the 2nd place. I think UK takes Eurovision Song Contest very seriously since last year 2022 and I hope it will continued
It's a shame how underrated the UK is in Eurovision. Blue, Molly and Lucy easily deserved Top 10.
Which songs that were top 10 in 2011, 2014 and 2017 would you then remove from the top 10?
@@Asa...S
Good question!
In 2011, UK was better than Bosnia and Herzegovina which ended at the 6th place. (I'm actually from B&H, but let's be real, 6th place was way too high).
In 2014, Molly was my winner, so I would place her above anyone on that Top 10.
In 2017, I would definitely remove Australia from the Top 10. Also, I did not like Portugal at all that year, so I would have liked to see Lucy take the W instead of Salvador.
@@amerbegovic4755 Are you kidding me? Love in Rewind is a very handsome song, with an amazing lyric and Dino Merlin filled the song perfectly. It's one of my favourites entries ever. Any song removed from the top 10 in 2011 would be an injustice.
@@jesusdavidpimientafontalvo8843 I agree that it was a very cool unique song. And I love that it had a traditional Bosnian sound to it. But I like I can better.
no, they really did'nt
2017 was a great injustice !!
It was in my Top 5.
Beautiful voice and fantastic performance.
Louise is flexing on us with her AirPods
UK is a country of music with very famous artists and I think it's time for UK to win Eurovision Song Contest in 2020s decade just like Ireland did in the 1980s and 1990s
My only favourite song for the UK during the decade was Lucie Jones she showed passion and justice for the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 and it should of placed higher in the televote 👍❤️
I really want UK to win Eurovision Song Contest next year 2024
Decade of Albania at Eurovision please
I've always had the idea of sending my band to eurovison. We are a steam punk rock band from the UK
Louise looks like one of my favorite singers so far from my country, Stephanie Poetri. Louise should really check her...Greetings from Indonesia🇮🇩...
Molly - Children of the universe... best by far.. soooo underrated
Also... Lucy - never give up on you... was underrated as hell! both songs deserved top 10
She was robbed
Come on UK, I want you to do better this next decade!
I would like an alarm clock with Daeva's voice screaming "Bonnie Tyler!!!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you wana know what happend to Josh She was, He was in a documentary were he said it was "Lamb to the slaughter", and now his reputation and carrer was in tatters.
I think UK will win Eurovision Song Contest in this decade mark my words
For me, UK is slightly underrated. My points:
2010: 0p - Too cheesy
2011: 6p - Not my cup of tea.
2012: 7p - Cute
2013: 3p - A great singer but a really dull song
2014: 7p - Powerful
2015: 6p - Funny, but very odd
2016: 6p - Cute, but a dull song
2017: 12p - For me, this was up there with Portugal. A top 3.
2018: 8p - Lovable, cute and a top 15 for me.
2019: 8p - Very much like Sweden, but worse staging. Top 10 for me.
Tony Johansson the 2019 song was co written by John lundvik who represented Sweden that year
The Dutch guy is so beautiful ❤️
Remember Blue came 5th on the televote BUT the juries placed it 22nd so overall it came 11th
Also electo velvet was based on the great gatsby or downton abby and also the backing killed it
I never understood why people thought Michael Rice was going to place higher. He more than the song was the issue. That song needed to be performed with a lot of masculinity like from an Uku, Mans etc. but he performed it in such a camp, feminine manner. In addition he has the standard power voice that most people who get to bootcamp on X Factor have - no unique vocal texture to it. Also, his star quality is non existent. It really seemed like he finished his shift at retail and then came on stage.
12: Storm [2018]
10: Never Give Up on You [2017]
08: Still In Love With You [2015]
07: You're Not Alone [2016]
06: Children of the Universe [2014]
05: Believe in Me [2013]
04: I Can [2011]
03: Love Will Set You Free [2012]
02: Bigger Than Us [2019]
01: That Sounds Good To Me [2010]
From the land of fish, chips, and crazy car crash sequences in the expressways of Holby City and Emmerdale that would put Final Destination 2 to shame, here are my thoughts:
2010: The selection method they had from 2009 simply didn't work the second time around because of the actual song that the BBC internally selected. The song's okay for me but maybe not fit for Eurovision. Josh Debovie deserved better.
2011: Televote Top 10. They were ahead of the nostalgia curve around this time as they became one of the featured groups in the first season of The Big Reunion 2 years later.
2012: Would it be nice had the UK sent him several decades earlier when he was at his career peak? The song itself is fine, and age didn't matter, as proven by Russia that same year. He continues to be an omnipresent presence in AM music stations back home so he's still earning those royalty moolahs sp he'll be fine.
2013: Probably not at her vocal best come finale time because she sounded great years later at the cruise she was in with Joe Jonas. Being a non-traditional Eurovision-by-the-numbers song, I thoroughly enjoyed this and the original 4-minute cut. She still gave the UK one of its best results of the decade.
2014: Probably the best selection method the BBC had. Such a shame they didn't continue to use BBC Introducing (Ireland is doing a similar approach for 2020).
2015: Staging killed this. 'Nuff said.
2016: I quite like this one. Shame it didn't get the televote support that it deserved. On the jury side, it placed 17th so it wasn't all bad news.
2017: The best out of all the UK had sent via You Decide. Jury Top 10 placement was well-deserved. At this point, the UK have gotten its casting down to a tee with its performers. And they got lucky with the song which Lucie was able to own as if it was hers.
2018: I quite liked this lots, although I did like the original Clean Bandit-esque national selection version much better. And it did outpaced Sweden on the televote, which was delightfully sweet.
2019: Michael Rice delivered vocally. I just think the delegation failed on a lot of aspects on making the performance memorable, among other things (convulated selection format for You Decide). On the plus side, Sahlene (Estonia 2002) was there. And of course, it didn't deserve getting last. On another positive note: It wasn't last in neither side of the vote so we can thank solace to that,
I was hoping for the 2000s reaction
👑🙌
And lucie got respect for 15th
By the way the stage invader was
Dr A. C
I don't remember many of these UK songs. I liked Blue, Molly and thought Bonnie's song was OK but not really any of the others. We're so bad at sending songs lol.
Yayyyyy a decade of UK
Do Latvia next. There's really variety.
Electo velvet is like a 50s hybrid
I’ve never heard someone more accurately describe joe and Jake than luke
I love Noosh
You complain that Sweden always sends the same types of songs. Why did you send this song to Eurovision which is actually written by Swedes. I mean John Lundvik wrote this song and he competes the same year?
The UK 2010 singer spoke about his Eurovision performance in a recent video. You wouldn't recognize him.
I voted for electro velvet, i thought it was fun, and good cheesy, they were sweet 😊
My top 5.
1. 2014.
2. 2013.
3. 2017.
4. 2012.
5. 2016.
I have a feeling people just dont wanna vote for the UK anymore and it has just become a meme...
Electro Velvet is in my top 3 💀
As far as I'm concerned 2012 should have either had Engelbert Humperdink or the Grandmothers but not both I'm sorry but that's just my opinion as for 2015 ,it would have been better probably in either 2024, 2025, 2026 or 2027 because that just makes sense especially after Destiny in 2021.
In next video, please, react a decade of Romania at Eurovision!
I think this is the first time all reactors agree on something..
sorry josh... :P
Imo 2017 was the only one that deserved the top 10!
Well 2011 did too had their vocals not sucked.
Please do an irish version of this video.
My top 5 since that date:
1. 2012
2. 2010
3. 2015
4. 2016
5. 2019
Joe & Jake was the best of the bunch, I like the voices of Surie and Lucie as well though the songs were pretty forgetable and Michael didn't deserve last place but. I think James Newman will have the same issues unless he can make himself look really cool. Eurovision is full of pretty boys and muscle hunks...its about body image.
I must be the only person in the world that likes our 2012 entry.
I like our 2012 entry but it just wasn't a Eurovision song. It may have been in the 80s but it was too outdated for 2012
For 10 years I made sure the British said they would win the ESC they always stay in the back.
The BBC don't want to win - the expense of hosting it the following year is too much for them.
2:17 That says it all!
Is there anywhere we can join in on these videos?
I hope Adele is available for ESC in some 30 years....
You should react to KEIINO’s new song «dancing in the smoak»
love your vids.
Justice for Surie , for what happend on stage !!
decade of Turkey pls💕
Lucie Jones' entry getting such a low place just means the voters just keep hating on the UK (before, or after the Brexit vote). Even Blue didn't get top 10. It's not a running order issue. Not a song issue. Not an artist issue. Anyway, I have to re-watch the Michael Rice performance. Wasn't my favorite. But everyone here seemed to like it.
Re: Molly- amazing song that could have done better but they put here on heels in that bloody Hiawatha dress and she stood still in the middle of the stage instead of working it.
Pls Germany next
Me in 2015 Reacting to UKs 2015 entry: This is so old fashioned and boring
Me in 2019: This is funny I love it 😂❤️
Their best were 2016/2017 and 2014 though and I like 2018 despite it being generic.
I should say that I only know 2014-2019 😂
It was pete waterman fault for sounds good to me, it like one of Rejected songs
A normal jedward😂😂
Lmao
Hehehehe - Too Normal for my liking!
Must say I loved Humperdink's song. Who cares about dated if it's good
Problem being most of those who will vote in the contest are older teens to mid 30s
Blame pete waterman for josh song, cause it was sounded 80s
most of these songs good enough but just don't stand out enough to finish higher than did for the most part
This is so painful
I’m british I hate all our songs my favs are Italy :)
Iago is cute 👀
Every year I think the UK cannot sink deeper, but yet they do (except for Lucie !) Don't get me wrong, I would like the UK to do well, but if only they could stop sending good performs with bad songs (SuRie and Michael Rice are great!) Please, try giving your best the UK!
No big UK act would touch Eurovision partly as they don't need to and partly as it can be the kiss of death to a carear. I remember Bjorn Ulveus of ABBA saying that if they were British they would not have had to resort to the contest to be noticed but at that time acts from Sweden were rarely taken seriously.
Let's face it if a UK act fails at eurovision they are hardly heard of again. The only exceptions I can think of who are still around are Cliff Richard (lost twice), Olivia Newton-John (to some extent) and Michael Ball.
Hello
Always people from UK: we didn't deserve last...
Rest of Europe: UK deserved last
😂😂😂
a decade of serbia cuz yes
The last two years we had really good singers, but the songs were, frankly, bad. Surie did the absolute best she could do with Storm, but it was just not of sufficient quality. There's a song she wrote, Kolibri, that I absolutely love. The same with Michael Rice last year - he's clearly a strong singer, but the song was generic trash. Both he and Surie deserved better songs and better staging. The BBC managed to get away with it for Surie, but they were clearly trying to save money both years, and it showed. I felt Lucie Jones' song, Never Give Up On You, was similarly generic and lyrically uninteresting. Ultimately, I think the problem is the selection process; they have groups of writers coming up with a song that has to work for some random artist. The result is that any connection between lyrics and artist is coincidental and forced.
Can’t little mix sing Woman like me in Eurovision 2020? They would end up FIRST!
Nope. The song has to be released before September 2019 and they are too famous and would never agree to participate.
I know, still, I would love to see them on stage at Eurovision some day!
More chance of Cliff Richard trying a third time than any more recent act.
2019 was deserved last. 2018 also deserved it but got saved by stage invader.
UK at Eurovision: Seconds from Disaster.
Also never liked Michael Rice bigger then us, Should've had Jordon Clark freeks and has nothing to do with brexit.
lmao the only song i like from these is the one from 2012
uk send ok songs challenge
I'm with you
2010. and 2015. - I was headbanging (because facepalming can't express my opinion at all) soooo hard on my table, that my head hurts. So much cringeeeeeeeeeee. Other songs are ok, 2017. and 2019. deff my favourites (2019. ROBBED)
Honestly, I’ll wager this, one more last place and The UK will withdraw from Eurovision for good
If the UK did withdraw from the Eurovision it wouldn't be able to carry on
Wdll as the BBC have not confirmed our entry for 2021 my guess is we may already have withdrawn.
Came here to say bad start to the decade
Blue and Lucie brill. Molly and Surie OK. The rest are bad
Summary: UK eurovision currently = 👎👎
Say what you say, but Bonnie Tyler was robbed!
Tell me quando quando quando You will stop sending shit entries Brittain? Can the BBC please take ESC seriously again?
Let it be known that Michael Rice was the worst one of the lot.
(British)
They should've gone for Jordon Clark freeks that should've won it instead of rice.
OMG w really sent some turds. if we can't do better than this we should simply not participate. I barely remember any of these songs, and send faded stars doesn't work. Of these 10 Joe & Jake, Surie, Lucie are only really worth listening to.
Uk should stay out if they can't do anything better. Horrible for 26 years. I normally I don't like UK entries. Last year was a nightmare of screaming. 2019 as well is horrible. I hate when people shout to me a Disney message.
Im sorry but Blue were robbed
Blame the juries. The televote put them 5th the juries 22nd
