You inspired me to do my first back flip last season, and I know back flips are nothing crazy but it was a big deal for me. Look forward to more vids this season👍
XxLazorDubxX back flips are top of the line
backflip nothing crazzy haha very funny sir thats a good joke, Very impressive dude great job. Today I just did my biggest jump i think it was a 10 footer
@@top5products461 Also good mate. Im gonna try getting more into tricks. Rn im more a downhill skier. But tricks are really tempting.
@@top5products461 my most height has been 9m
@@top5products461 This is Top 5 products on my other youtube account I can now comfortable hit 15 footers and tomorrow I am think about hitting a 30 footer wish me luck!
Song is straight fire... what’s it called? Also great video
nice
So I've only hit maybe 40ft jumps at most before but I am at Aspen and they just had the X Games with the 70ft jump. The jump was still there and I decided I would try it and somehow landed it. Probably the scariest experience of my life and I can't decide if I want to hit it again or not. (Also my Go Pro died so I didn't get it on camera and I really want to get it on camera)
Zach Weisman damn I could never I would be so scared
Hit it again!
Great video, very informative
Thanks
Last season took a small jump way to fast, missed the “pop” and landed super hard on my back. Thanks to the video I know what I did wrong! Thanks!
Can’t wait for the season to start! I’m in Ohio so we still got a ways to go 🙁
Only 2 weeks to go here where i live (Norway) Cant wait! :D
stuck in ohio
you know it...we just got our first snow though!
Perfect north?
Hey snowshoe here in West Virginia is open!
Thankyou soooooo much!!!! This video has helped me out way better then any other video that I have watched! and trust me i’v watched a good number of them, so thankyou!
Joshua Krafft was just gonna say that
Exactly the video I needed before the season! I always found myself flailing in the air, going to focus on poping off the lip, used to let it just send me.. thanks!!
Mt saint Louis moonstone?
Yes
you’re so right, the easiest jump i ever hit was by far the biggest. I just made sure not to check my speed (easy to do if you’re nervous) and i just sailed up the lip and over without a second thought. The jump doesn’t really get a chance to surprise you by flinging you into the sun like some smaller jumps can.
I kept my weight forward and landed on my face
oof
Haha in the balance section you described every mistake I made on my first jump. I skate so on my very first day skiing I was able to clear blues with ease. I tried a black later that day with ramps, and let's just say I had no idea what techniques you were supposed to use, so I kind of lost my concentration when I realized how high I was, landed, then fell backwards, and got a ski popped off. Thank you for this video though! I'll make sure to nail that jump today!
one of the clips looks like you were at peak n peek
He does go to peak n peek
@@Sam-tf3br correction * he’s always there
Great video, I ski at a smaller area and we have a smaller jump maybe a 10ft and a bigger maybe 30ft so I can hit the small one so today I went for the big one and hit the nuckle double ejected and when flying off the lip, no serious injuries it’s just a little hard to walk. But thanks for the video I will practice on that smaller jump. 😂
Thanks bro this helped me lots !
First time I ever hit a big jump my balance was off and I twisted on my landing snaping my collarbone in half, I didn't realize it was broken (Probably Adrenaline) and continued to ski I fell on it on the way back to the lodge making it worse. When I got the X-Ray back it was about 1 inch away from puncturing my lung. Moral of the story BALANCE IS KEY!
Mount saint Louis is my local
Thanks, good video and instruction.
Bruised heels, compressed vertebrae, ripped hip flexor, slightly concussed.... oh dont worry kids- stretched out over 30 years of freestyle skiing fun! lol
Ay Bag'O ! keep spreading the good word.. safety and air awareness, trampolines, foam pits; its a different world out there.. the sport has evolved for the better! :)
I got a sprained knee while falling head down on a mountain
I have a question for hitting rails. I am left footed and right handed so it is difficult to do rails. I like to put my Right foot in the front but when i do a 360, i rotate towards the right (clockwise). This makes it really awkward to get on, or stay on the rail. Do you have any tips to help?
Long Sockz I would go left foot forward. If you 3 to the right, then that is what your body finds most natural.
If you can, put a skateboard on the ground, run toward it and jump on it. Whichever way you turned to land on the board is the way you would naturally slide rails.
Really helpful video! All the tips are really good. I've been jumping at small jumps inconsistent for a while. But after i watched this video i felt like i can take it to the next level!
There was a lot of talk about Popping but I didn't hear you talk or demonstrate when to pop. In the vast majority of the jumps I saw no difference in leg extention. Just guys going over a jump with the exact same bend in their knees as when they landed
hard ut
that’s it
You sound like Eric Foreman from "That 70's Show", but great tutorial!
Great informative video, I'm looking forward to januari when I'm going skiing to try this :)
In the early days of freestyle, 360's were considered hard. It's crazy seeing kids now throwing 720's and backflips as if it's nothing.
i like how this took place at my favourite ski resort - mt st louis moonstone
I got the hang of jumps yesterday day. I did a bigger jump today and holy moly it was so scary I was high as fuck. I was shaking with my heart racing after I landed.
Unfortunately I hit my first jump yesterday and like you said in the video let the Juno decide my flight and landed on my back
I'm heading out to Tignes for a whole season, found this channel this week, really helpful stuff that i'm gonna check weekly! really love small time youtubers trying to help people with the sport/thing that they love doing! big love!
Thanks man means a lot!
Omg I think I was there. It's called bell- something, up state New York right?
Thomas Tarasco it’s Mt. Saint Louis Moonstone
In Barrie, Canada
This really helped 👍🥳 thank you
great video! what is your home mountain?
I ovevshooted one time and it was so fucking scary, and the juni was big
I really like your work! I'm about to do my first season in the snow, I think this video has changed my perspective on park!! Keep up the good work man 👌
Thanks!! Will do!
Pro tip don’t hit jumps on the first run of the trip. First one was a big and and I hopped right into the hospital
Thanks I want hit bigger jumps but I just started skiing
Why did you upload again
Audio issues with the last video
Ok
I did not speed check a jump the other day and I over shot and knocked my 2 front teeth out
Ya I landed on my back because I was leaning on my heals
3:06 happened to me at park city and that was not fun
Thanks this really helps!
Going to Moonstone tomorrow, I'm finally gonna try this guy's, wish me luck
Amazing video i was whery scared to Jump when i was younger because i allways landed on my ass or back but this video helped me understand the basic idea, thank you!!
Thank you! This was super helpful! I’ve always wanted to beat my brother to a jump, he does not know how, *but now I know* 😈
Great video. Can't emphasize getting the speed right enough. Had a successful day of hitting some new jumps today until I got a little too comfortable and sent a very steep-lipped jump with too much speed - Had a solid pop off the lip (evidently too solid) and knew the moment I left the lip that I was done for. Overshot the ideal landing by a good 6-10 ft and smacked down hard on the flat. Ouch. I'm all good though, no injuries just got the wind knocked out of me... good thing it wasn't a 50 footer!!!
How do I land it without killing my feet
Any advice for more flat landings? My hills have decent kickers but lots of crap landings or just hitting side trail jumps
Hey, what skis would you recommend for me. I’m 187cm and i can do all the basics! Hope you answer!
Thats funny...i searched this video because ive been hitting jumps at mt st louis and when i heard you say you hit the 60 at mt st louis i tripped out haha
For those of you looking for 60’ jumps... me: and I’m out
My friend and I are beginners at the terrain park, and I want to know the best way to start doing tricks safely without access to things like trampolines to practice. What tricks to learn first and so forth.
I hit a 20 footer today and landed on the knuckle it wasn’t nice how do I like get over that and not eat it when I’m flying in air
I live in the Ontario ski area (near barrie) I’m a pre new park rider and would appreciate an afternoon to learn some new stuff (would pay if necessary)
Sorry man is fondamentaly an central ski'sattack in the center of ski??
Loved this video I know how to jump I just don’t know how to pop well so most jumps I just slide off
Can you guys do grab tutorials and my local opened last weekend winter is here love your vids
where do you ski country state and name of ski place
Haha I did the opposite. I hit a little steep diy kicker, face planted the first time
hey this was at peak n peak right? part of it
Today I jumped about 2 metres too long on a jump. That hurt a lot
What skis are those? I
'm thinking about getting new ones
I have never heard anyone explain it so simply and yet so effectively as you have. My first trip to the park was the Rerailer Yard at Winter Park last week and I’m so excited to expand my riding into this area!
One thing that helps some people is to use your arms👌👌
Awesome video, thanks for putting this together.
Awesome video, very helpful! 👊🏼
You should do a video on nose/tail butters
I over shooted 6meters on my back
Hey I also ski in Mount St. Louis!
I’ve just recently started hitting the park I go 2 times a year for a week each, started skiing when I was 5 and I’m quite confident. do you reckon I should hire twin tips when I go at Christmas? I’m 16 and really want to start doing more park stuff any advice would be helpful
Are you ready to start launching/landing switch? If so then yes. If not, you can, but not too important.
R the clips from peek n peek
Yo mount st Luis is my main resort
Why don't you pop on bigger jumps?
Cryptiq not an expert but, I think it’s because you can go up instead of forward making it hard or dangerous to land
Bro What skis do you use?
what resort is that? is that wv?
What if no park rats are there
So professional keep it up
Really helpful !! Thanks !!
Channel is Natek k
hyped for the season!!!
How do you pop?
Do I just jump how I would on land?
Thanks man 🤠
Very helpful👍
Thank you
