I've watched every ancient monkey video from Isab and the consistent trend is that the stronger weapons break after any dartling gunner new weapon is added. Strange bug and I have no clue why it would happen, but it appears to affect every stat as you'd think adding multitudes of damage and attack speed buffs would make a much bigger difference EDIT: Alot of people have been pointing out that the mod breaks after glaive Lord is purchased. Either way, some upgrade/upgrades or combination of upgrades is bugging everything out

Dartling upgrades might be the source of the bugs. Also, this is the version of the mod I mentioned before. It's way more balanced so upgrades are basically additive, meaning you won't see full map range, insane attack speeds, and OP amounts of cash so easily now.

Glaive lord and glaive dominus are what breaks the stronger weapon upgrades. Everyone keeps saying dartling in the comments yet when I tried getting all the possible dartling upgrades (including the tier 5s) on an ancient monkey, all the upgrades of the stats worked just fine. But as soon as I add a glaive lord/dominus, it breaks.

Great video! Btw, as for the extra luck, I don't think it massively increases your chances of getting exotics or godlies. Instead, I believe it lowers your chance of getting lower stuff. For example at one point you got 3 Rares before upgrading the monkey, that's probably due to the luck you bought. If not, you might've gotten like... 1 rare and 2 common, or 3 commons. Basically it just lowers your chance of getting worse stuff
I think getting the dartling gunner upgrade broke the stronger weapon upgrade. I will return after testing After testing I can definitely say that attack speed upgrades still work, range upgrades do work, I can not get them to stop working with any upgrade, but I have learned that the legendary 8x attack speed or whatever is not a visual bug, it genuinely does slow the attack speed of most attacks (I don't think it affects separate entities i.e monkey ace or churchill, might be wrong idk) This testing was done in sandbox so if anyone wants to try in a real game that would be grear
I could definitely be wrong on this but I think the legendaries are often lower attack speed because with the new higher luck upgrades you end up lagging like shit because you get like 20000% attack speed, legendaries often give you a huge damage and pierce boost but lower attack speed a LOT. Could be a bug also, not sure
I would love to see you do different challenges where you cap the weapons at a certain number and then try to max pierce/damage/range/attack speed/money, to see how far you can push it!

I did a test with the ancient monkey the attack speed bonus on legendaries is bugged and it not a visual one it does cause the tower to shoot slower. I spammed it and got my monkey to shoot every 20 seconds
I have been playing the Ancient Monkey mod myself and the thing that seems to break the weapon upgrades is either dartling gun crosspaths or doing the (now 125k) mega upgrade that resets your stuff, without those bugs you can keep upgrading to absolutely RIDICILOUS levels that can go basically as long as you want. Also there is another bug where if you buy the luck upgrades on a run, the luck bonus seems to persist after completing that run (so you need to reach the "you won" screen on a map and end your run there, I got it on trying to emulate your boss challenge and beating it) on to other maps until you close the game, which allows you to roll exotic weapons/upgrades as your first weapon in a run, which is pretty funny to do, as getting banana central or flying fortress on your first roll pretty much guarantees you will win whatever it is you were going to do. Edit: I discovered how to reliably replicate the second bug I mentioned where the luck persists, the way to do it is not ending the run, but leaving the game before finishing it and starting another. In the first run (preferably on easy difficulty on an easy map) farm as much money and buy as many upgrades as possible until you reliably see exotics pop up in the choice menu. Then leave that run and start a new one, enjoy easily completing chimps runs on expert maps as you roll a flying fortress on your first weapon roll.
I use this mod quite a bit, and I've started just choosing camo+lead over lead or camo, so I'd choose ezili over faster barrel spin. Ofc, if there's camo rare, I'll take it over most commons (however I would choose the rare mortar over the rare faster barrel spin for example, as mortar auto aims and can be BROKEN)
I thought attack speed would in fact increase your attack speed not decrease the time for you to attack so x6 attack speed means u attack faster not increase the time you take to do an attack 6 times
No cuz the other other attack speed buff is always less then x1 because it lowers the time it takes to attack so it’s reasonable to assume x6 is making the speed of attacks 6 times slower
with this update, I'd think it be cool to see you hard farm until a certain round (maybe like 60 or 70) and then spend all that money on the ancient monkey and then see how far it goes without any more upgrades.
i found the bug for the legendary attack speed boost. you absolutely shouldn't pick it, it will slow your weapons down. The DEV put in an extra zero and ruined it. 101 is what the random limit is for all rarities except legendary it has 1001.
No it isn't. It's just that the wording of the upgrade is wrong. The attack speed buff is applied by multiplying the number by the attack cooldown of each tower, so a smaller cooldown = more attack speed

I believe the x8.06 or smth attack sped buff means the current attack speed gets multiplied but the number and added to the stat. So if you have for example 5 darts per second, a x8.60 makes it 5+(8.06x5). Or a 0.98 attack speed increase does the same.
Nope, it straight up slows your attack speed by 8 times so it's a massive debuff. And I think it's supposed to be a anti-lag thing to help you still be able to play the game as with more and more upgrades there are so many projectiles firing that the game crawls to a halt.
If upgrading the ancient monkey resets the cost for the different cards, isn't it best to spend as much as you feasibly can on cards before resetting their cost? Granted they are worse quality cards before the upgrade, but still it seems like taking full advantage of the cost reset would involve driving up the price as much as you can beforehand
i might have an idea about the range. it could be because the weapons you buy after getting some range updates? like there is a delay in the rage of weapons and it messes up the display?
I'm doing some math with my brain thing. It seems like you should never choose the farm options for the ancient monkey. Since the cost of the upgrades increase with every upgrade, exponentially, then in the long term the moneymaking options just set you back (choosing them early), and choosing them late sets you back immediately instead.
Picking farming for the ancient money used to be good before being tremendously nerfed. The main way it worked was choosing farming before picking money multipliers which used to be 1.5-4x depending on rarity. Now it’s like 1.04x which makes farming much worse.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you’re saying that “Range x1.08” would be an 8% increase, then wouldn’t that make all the factors below 1.00 decrease their effectiveness? For this episode and the last with this mod, isab would mention boosts to attack speed even if it was like x0.96, but I thought that would make it slower by 4%. Idk if it could just work the opposite for attack speed
Range can't go below 1x, and attack speed can't go above 1x. Anything above 1x for range is an increase, anything below 1x for attack speed is an increase. Your attack speed is in seconds, so by multiplying 1 by .96, your attack speed is now 96% of a second.

Stuff stopped working because your dart monkey was on normal. Ezili hex follows targeting so it doesn’t know what to hex when on normal

The infinite upgrade monkey should have the hero weapons level up like a normal hero so it makes the weapons useful during later rounds

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you’re saying that “Range x1.08” would be an 8% increase, then wouldn’t that make all the factors below 1.00 decrease their effectiveness? For this episode and the last with this mod, isab would mention boosts to attack speed even if it was like x0.96, but I thought that would make it slower by 4%. Idk if it could just work the opposite for attack speed
Range can't go below 1x, and attack speed can't go above 1x. Anything above 1x for range is an increase, anything below 1x for attack speed is an increase. Your attack speed is in seconds, so by multiplying 1 by .96, your attack speed is now 96% of a second.

I avoid all Dartling upgrades with this mod because I think that's the tower that bugs the buffs.
