It's really beautiful to see the resistance of such a big fish, and all of that can't be separated from the sophisticated equipment that supports, hopefully one day my Chanel can grow and be able to buy all of them
That is impressive to say the least. To catch a barra that size (consistently) in saltwater is incredible. No matter lure or lives that is incredible full stop. Well done lads.
So that's the secret? Spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on electronics, idle around for hours, to find them, then drop a live bait on it's nose. All of our grandfathers had it wrong when they used to used to go out and get them with nothing.
To be fair there were a lot more fish in our grandparents day and they kept everything they caught and plenty of it. My old man used to come back from Fraser Island with 500lbs of Tailor fillets or from the Swains with similar amounts of reef fish fillets. Damn I can remember a time when you could drop a Yabbie at Myora Light and catch 10lb snapper. Be lucky if you found a toad fish there now. At least these guys use hooks that are good for release and then mostly release the fish.
Congrats an an amazing fish & capture dudes - just imagine how good the Fraser Coast / Hervey Bay fishery could be if it was - Net Free 😉🤙😎

Contact Luke Fallon Sportfishing mate
Lots of netting in that area. Rather support the Rockhampton net free fishery
Hopefully the Mary and surrounds becomes net free too - they have done a great job in Rocky
Where are you guys exactly
