Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

I discovered them recently and I've been listening to their whole discography. I'm baffled because they just do NOT have a bad song. Hit after hit.
I encourage you to discover why... Song credit? LOL
they're amazing !!!!
I discovered them in my young teenage years. Like 13 or 14, all my friends were listening to them but me. I had no idea who Led Zeppelin was until I went over a friends house. We were hanging out with a group of people and the guy that live that that location put on a Led Zeppelin album. It was love from then on in. What amazingly perfect band. Individually they're great, and as a group they're fantastic. PS.

@@Mr.Robert1 I'm turning 22 in a month. It's amazing how this kind of music can stay alive throughout the years and keep different generations connected!
@@douglasnolan4494 That’s lame. Their biggest hits were not the blues covers and even then, plenty of other people covered those same songs and never got the traction Zeppelin did. Absolutely the stankiest, coolest walking bassline in rock history! Im almost 60…been jamming on this for 45 years and keep coming back for that bass!

Imagine being a young Jimmy Page and you have that incredible rythem section of John Bonham and John Paul Jones to create solos off of . This song is a perfect example..listen to the drums and bass during Jimmy's solos and the rest of the song for that matter . When Jimmy takes off into solo land John Bonham and John Paul Jones go right with him . Incredible !
That's what made them so great. Bonzo and Jonsey were the back bone. It enabled Jimmy and Robert to go off. Perfect chemistry

That's a singer, a guitar player, a bassist, and a drummer showing off for each other. They're not playing for an audience, they're playing for themselves
Not sure what you're suggesting, but their audience figures make a nonsense of that comment with respect.
Page was heavily into black magic and said it felt like magic when Zeppelin came together
They are ,will always be the best!
