Hi everyone! It's difficult to respond to each and every comment because there are [amazingly] so many, but I just wanted to say that it fills my heart with such gratitude and confidence to read your words of encouragement and to see your support for this project!!
Man, I'm so happy for you! I started watching you and Josh some 10 years ago and seeing you come into you own as singer and a songwriter has been an absolute joy. Back in 2022, I was lucky enough to be at your concert in Copenhagen and I can't remember ever being at a show that left more of an impression on me. You, Josh, Elle and Toni were all incredible. I can only imagine how nerve-racking it must be to put yourself out there with a solo project, but I'm sure that you're gonna hit it right out of the park. Self-doubt can be a real killer, but in a way, all of us here have already "judged the quality of Carson McKee", as you say. And I think it's a safe bet that there's quite a few of us who really appreciate you and your music.
I can't wait for it Carson...this is going to be a great piece of music. From watching you over the years I know what you put into your craft. Quell your aprehension and go forward....if only for your own growth and satisfaction. Come on folks! it will be the best money you ever spend!
Alright, bro.... I'm in. Gonna by a ticket and will watch later.... $25 headed your way. Really like what you do, Carson. I'm 57 yrs old and have been on stage in front of thousands. You and I are very similar in our talents although it's been quite a few years since I took it seriously. So in some ways I live vicariously thru you (and josh). I'm a fan and a supporter of you. So happy you are able to do what you love. Peace, my friend!
Thanks so much - I never fail to feel the love when I check in with the community and have projects in the pipeline. Your support means a lot. See you on the 27th!!
@@carsonmckeemusic Oh yeah..... I live about an hour north of Charlotte. Would love to see you perform if you are ever back in the area. I know you have family here so I'm hoping your new tour dates will include a trip here. Peace!
Carson, Good to see you looking good & sounding very upbeat. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to chip in. I'm guessing most of us desire to support you in some way; you've blessed us throughout the years. I wish you WELL & sending you much Love & Good Vibes.
Carson, I absolutely love and appreciate your music so much. So excited to listen to your own song creations. Thank you for being so open about your journey, too! Much love and see you at the livestream
Carson, you are an amazing musician, amazing person, and I have just felt soo inspired by you ever since I started watching your videos a couple of years ago. I was starting to get worried about you not releasing anything in a while, and here we are! I don't know if you will ever read this, but thank you, thank you for all this art... I wish you the best of luck, and I will support you in every way possible!
We got our tickets + extra. Looking forward to the 27th. You are a great songwriter and we love your songs. Please come back to Cincinnati or Northern KY on tour.
I will be there! Your music is awesome. You inspired me to pick up my guitar again after many years and to really make an effort this time. The Other Favourites RUclips and crowdcasts kept me sane (ish) during covid. Your solo music is fantastic. So pleased you are doing this
I should have clarified! If this is what you're asking, an EP is an "extended play", a shorter record than an LP or "long play". Generally 3-7 songs instead of 8+; mine will probably be in the neighborhood of 6 tunes. Since this is my first solo release, and I'm recording it myself, I wanted to keep the scope manageable!
This video is so simple yet perfect for the occasion...not surprisingly, exactly the feeling I get when listening and watching any song videos you've posted over the years. Great songs grab the listener in a way that is difficult to explain -- especially when done without extra distractions -- and that's what your songs do, whether originals or covers. I can't wait to see this come together! Keep up the outstanding work, Carson.
"Slow, intimate, reflective, acoustic" pieces is exactly what I love the most about your work. I'm in and I can't wait! I would never be able to get to a concert but I would definitely buy a CD too. Thank you for sharing about the psychological and emotional challenges of putting your work out there - I can so relate and I'm so glad you are overcoming them, because I love your voice and the way you use it, and I love your writing too. All the best for the show - see you there!
This is great news Carson looking forward to hearing the EP. Have seen you live in London twice with the OT and would love to see you tour solo in Europe. Best of luck with your project.
Your mixture of originals and covers are excellent and having seen you live with Josh, Toni, Elle can only wish you well and eagerly anticipate your new recordings and release.
This is fantastic, Carson! Been a fan since your first days at the Gathering with Josh and of course Skylar and your dad every year for so many years. I've shared this and hope there's a great turnout for this project.

Fortunately for this case, I don't really know how to use auto-tune! I'm not categorically against it, but it doesn't generally suit my material or approach; and what's more, since I'm recording this EP live, every mic will have a little bit of every source in it, making pitch correction difficult. As far as physical media goes, that partially depends on how much of a financial war chest I can build up - regardless, I'll be making sure that all streaming services that support hi-res music receive 48kHz/24bit files.

You are so right...I've spent many years hanging back or putting up walls against the things that make me afraid, but every time I lean into those things instead, I become stronger and ultimately happier. I'm no perfect example of that by any means; just a work in progress like we all are. But progress is good. And re: the money - I so deeply appreciate any and all support, including just your presence here, so please just do what feels right and comfortable for you ❤
I'd hope that "begging" is a bit of an overstatement...I'm very lucky to make music for a living, but that doesn't mean I have a ton of extra cash left over to finance a more involved recording project after paying the bills. Even just hiring two (elite caliber) musicians and setting time aside to work on this EP, I'm spending more out of pocket than I normally would to complete my work. Without a record label advance or anything of that nature, and with no reliable guarantee to make all that money back in sales figures in a streaming economy, I'm seeking to at the very least minimize my upfront losses by putting on a ticketed livestream - which is itself work; a paid event. It felt like the most reasonable compromise. Do work to finance bigger work. The donation option was included in case folks felt compelled to support that way or didn't have an interest in the show.
