I have a propensity for making tools myself. One thing I've discovered, most of the time you can make more money selling the actual tools, rather than using them for their intended purposes. For example I thought I wanted to make knives, which requires a lot of specialized tools. The effort put into making/selling knives is not the returns. I ended up gifting most of my knives. But I made a lot from selling the tools, especially my homemade anvils. Solid wire is so easy to strip with a fillet knife, I can really justify the effort to strip small stranded wire. But I'm glad you've got it figured out 👍
@YoStu242 Best way I have found is two drywall screws set in wood right next to each other. (Touching) Tighten the screws to hold the wire securely under the heads of the screws. Then pull the wire between the screws while holding a utility knife blade tip lightly between the screw heads to make slit in the wire.
The simplest quickest cheapest one for any wire is a piece of wood and 3 scews. Just adjust the centre screw according to the diameter of the wire your stripping. To make it is all the time it takes to screw 3 screws into the wood.
Cool idea, but y'know what? A potato peeler does the same thing, right out of the "box" (or whatever packaging it's bought in). Check it out! Costs @2 bucks, on average.

Make a tool for stranded wires👍🏼
Ok buddy, stay tuned for the next video.
i would use a bench and a wood chisel 4 saftey. great idea going 2 build 1 soon
Works great for short FLAT non-stranded pieces of wire. Now I have to spend all my time straightening out the wire before I strip it.
Haven't found fully painless way to strip stranded wires. Solid wires are piece of cake

King of Copper, you must be in the Guiness Book of World Records for inventing the most copper wire stripper devices.

No it's not
Keep saving your copper....Prices will go up someday.
What’s the angle on the wood
Looks close to a 45°
Это он одножильный провод легко режет. А как многожильный?

Так хорошо обдирать одинарный провод, с многожильным так не получится.
