Great video and I love the sound! Under my factory can is a thin metal heat shield that seems to be obstructing the fitment, do you recall removing that upon installation. Thanks 👍👍
wow a lot of cry babys on here... ooh too much power for you kid... oh your a lil punk...ooh this kid needs to learn speed limit... kid got a sled and is super excited about it as he should be! all you haters out here in youtube land don't be sour because your dad or mom never loved you enough... way to go man its a nice sled!
just a tiny tip, let the sled idle down before you kill it. personally i take my gloves off before i kill it because that gives it time to go down to idle and idle for a second
Yup, he needs a 1990 indy 400. I rode a 1999 indy xtra light 488 fan, perfect sled for 10 and above, not too much power and is very easy to get unstuck. I got it when i was ten, now im 14 and we keep it as a back up sled cause i got a 1998 polaris xcr 440 two years ago which WILL beat the fuckin shit out of his sled.
SledNeckSlayer MN when i was his age i was just getting off my 521 formula plus moving on to my mach 1 670 just need to know how to handle the power at thumbs reach started on a old john deere 340 trail fire and got a 440 arctic cat prowler then a 521 formula to a mach 1 670 then to a mxz 800 now i own a indy 600 triple sled on peeps
I started on a old XLT 580. My dad has 2 of them so I grew up riding those. Still a lot of sled for a kid or someone new to riding. I rode xlts until I was 18. Then I bought my pro x 600 because I was beating my dad's sleds up too much haha
...I had a one almost identical, 2000 xc deluxe, had the 700 cc 110 hp liberty motor (twin) top had just been rebuilt at 5000 miles. bought it cheap, didn't want to invest alot in case I didn't like it ($1800 cdn in 2014). first time on a sled since 1976 (yeh, I'm old...61, it was a 1971 skiroule, 24 hp sachs single, man they have come a long way since then)... one complete trouble free season, sold it for $2400, the guy took it for a run around the house and paid cash immediately, no bargaining...only reason I sold it was I was always looking for a gas station, older 2 strokes of just about any kind are hard on fuel...) Do the research on gas mileage of a 600, they might be better, I would have just kept pumping gas in it no problem, but stations are rare along the trails in my area (eastern ontario). Bought a 2005 yamaha rx1, 4 cyl, 4 stroke, quiet, %50 better gas mileage, but HEAVY, so not near as much fun, but really lights up if you nail it...145 hp...I just know I'll never get another deal like that Polaris...
That is a cool sled though lol. I got a 02 600 XC Edge. Love that thing.
Nice buy Kid! love the excitement in your face!
I remember when I was about your age how excited I got when my dad let me drive his 2002 Indy 500 on a fresh foot of snow!
Nice sled. I had a 99 and the 2000 XC600SP. The 2000 was a little bit quicker with the exhaust valves. But I loved them both.

Agreed I've got a 2000 xcr 800 which translates to a screaming triple I'm 14
Nice sled
I just got the same sled. 136 track 2" paddle 6inch riser. No can yet. That one sounds nice
just a tiny tip, let the sled idle down before you kill it. personally i take my gloves off before i kill it because that gives it time to go down to idle and idle for a second
tkbuckslayer stupidest thing ever. You go wide open throttle then shut er down. Its better for the valves.
Nice sled man I got a 91 polaris indy 500 with psi pipes
@xSirDingo That's how you shut off a snowmobile. It's bit an arctic cat, the switch doesn't wear out after 3500 miles.
I has a 1996 indy rmk 700 triple just got this year. best sled ever
i think its great that u got this sled
First 10 seconds I’m like wuuuut
where did you mount it? side or top of the helmet?
Sweet I've got the same sled except it's just red/black
SOUNDS REALLY GOOD
@ryan pountain Do you do a lot of mountain riding?
Purrs the same as my xc 600 with the mbrp, it is reliable (knock on wood)
I have a 2000 how much was the can and what did you do to retune it?
where did u get your can and handle bar risers
Honestly, is this thing fast? I'm about to buy one and I don't want to be disappointed... What's been your top speed so far?
It can go 80 easy
@@Chase-bm8jj try over 100 easy. I have one
Where did you get it?
what kinda can do you have on it
I'm glad I dont have one. I am trying to save up for a 2012 Ski Doo.
its an awesome sled
Why does it have different handlebar ends
Gopro camera?
You clearly need to teach this kid speed limits before he kills himself or anyone else. Way more sled than he should be riding that young

Chris Scully dang, i started out on a 01 xcr 120. But they didnt have em way back when you were a kid.

I think perhaps a 250 Elan is more up his alley.
