How to deal with paper jams in LEXMARK x342n, HP and other printers - do-it-yourself guide

My quick way to jam paper in the printer, i.e. first of all, verify and replace or reverse the rubber band on the paper guide roller.
In most cases, the solution does the trick.
Here, for example, in the LEXMARK x342n printer, the method worked great and shows that the eraser seems to be responsible for picking up the paper. Even washing it in warm water and soap does not help, and turning it over, where the surface is flat (the best friction), everything works fine, the paper is fed and the error is not displayed on the display.
