Thanks for the video, doing my 230 in the garage right now. Wasn't sure what to do with the ring for the opening to the manual roof unlatch. Though I might have to remove but just wrapping around is the much easier choice.
Good video. A lot of camera movement. Do you have a video on how to change the driver's side brake light? I'm having trouble removing the panel - the top part of the panel. If I can remove it, I can get my hand in to remove the bulb.
Hi great video I need to do my slk just wondering in your link for eBay you don't ship to Canada, maybe I can get something similar here what is the thickness of that grey velour you used ?thanks.
Looks like we used a Velour heafliner material. We can post out fabric if your located in Australia? Otherwise online stores like Ebay and Amazon can be handy. We will be having our fabrics sales available online next week onwards. A new video will be uploaded shortly that goes into all the styles and colours we offer.
The Man IS the Man! Made it look easy...right hand drive , so your not in the States I guess? Excellent job Sir...now that I've purchased (2) extra replacement headliners for my 2003 SLK for that day when my roof latch locking hydraulic springs that leak again and sprays the headliner and trashes it (I just replaced the hydraulics on my own and that was a lot of fun) Question does this process work for my original headliner? The one that has the fluid all over it and the liner material is peeling off?
Thanks for your comment, I think the answer to your question is that the orginal roof lining board is removed, the orginal old foam and fabric is removed, then recovered in new foam and fabric. That should be the same process in your case. But you did mention it had a fluid spell on it, alot of moisture may warp the board, but I doubt that is the case for you.
@@ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs Hi, the board itself is perfect , it comes out of my 2003 SLK one owner car 55,000 miles on it and it has been garaged since new , the locking hydraulic latch blew it's "Load" and emptied into the ceiling of all places. So the problem is about 1/4 of the front is oil damaged and I'm just wondering if that would impair the adhesion of the gluing process...I have two more spare headliners that I bought that are perfect but if mine can be repaired like this I'm in like here's the $$$ man...I'll buy even more headliners like their going out of style if I come across them...I like to be able to change them out like I change my underwear...... :)
@@stephaniemartin5744 oil on the board would make it hard for the new glue and fabric to stick. Maybe a good clean may get enough of the oil off and make it ideal to add new glue. But that would be more of a in person judgement. If you have spare headliner board, I'd suggest use one of them.

Yep, the product we use always come with the foam backing 👍

It shows you 'fiddling' with something on the driver's side after the screws are removed. What are you doing back there?
He's loosening the rear trim screws. You don't have to remove those, they can be difficult to replace.
What type of black tape did you use?
I also saw that tape, can't tell by the video. Would be nice to have some audio describing the materials used.
Is there a way to get the roof lining off when the roof is stuck and wont open? I need to check behind the lining to see why its stuck 😅
Check the top switch to make sure its working.
Hi Where are you located and how much is the cost to replace the headliner? Thanks.
