they're going to use Fields like an Antwaan Randle El i think, putting two QBs that can throw deep in on the same play for some trickery? Fields will get to play for sure, just not as the starting QB unless Wilson gets injured or plays poorly. It's not uncommon for an NFL QB to get banged up and sit out a couple weeks, so Fields needs to be ready to play.

Nope. Ayuik is going to want $30M. He won't get that with SF only cuz they are paying big money to Bosa and McCaffery. Soon they're going to have to day Purdy who is on his rookie deal. I don't see Ayuik wanting to take less than the market value of WRs to play with any team let alone the Steelers.

I just don't understand the mentality of signing Wilson to a long-term contract if he balls out this season! He is already at the age where we see most qb's start to decline. If we sign him to a 3 year contract and he declines after his 1st year of said contract, we will be in the same boat as we were in when we drafted Pickett. Also, do we really believe Wilson will continue to be affordable? Are we willing to send T.J. or Minka etc. away to free up some cap space? I believe the smart move needs to be Wilson to start this year, while Fields learns under him. Then, lock up Fields to a 3 year team friendly contract (I believe he will be affordable because no one jumped at the opportunity to snatch him up early on when Chicago 1st place him on trade block). We draft a decent qb next year as insurance and we roll with Fields to see if he is the future! He will come younger and cheaper than Wilson, allowing you to build around him!!!

No. Wilson will struggle. He was pushed out of Seattle for a reason and was benched in Denver for a reason. To think he is going to all of a sudden be the player he once was, well that's just wishful thinking. We'll have two young tackles and a young center, and as of right now, we won't have much of a passing game. Teams will focus on GP without another threat.
