Karen!.... Roger has the most beautiful smile., you can tell that hes truly happy with you.,you two make a lovely husband & wife couple!
They sure do!
Ditto!!
Absolutely!
They are PERFECTLY PAIRED!
We are so happy! 😁💜
OMGOOODNESSS>>>>>As a person that sews I would have laid on the floor and cried happy tears with that sewing box.....
I wanted all that thread!!
I come over and put it in rainbow order for you 😂❤
@@freshbloominclothing I can just see you doing that too Mellissa. Your videos are so pretty to watch when you color coordinate everything 🤣🤣
You and Roger work so hard! You are my favorite channel because you are organized and informative and fun! This was on the back window of an SUV, “ I break for yard sales, thrift stores, and stuff left on the curb.” To funny, wanted to share.
Oh my gosh Karen, you get up between 3am and 5am!? You are even more my hero now!! I was an early riser until I got sick, but not at 3am! I was more of a 5am on weekdays & 7am on weekends. When I was a kid, I got up every morning at 5am with either my Papa or my Dad! I would give anything to be healthy to be able to get up early, to be able to get more things done and to spend more time with my family! Each day is most definitely a blessing from God for me and I'm so thankful 🙌
Both of you look good. You can tell you are both happy together. Love the sewing box with so much tread.
My daughter and I both yelled YES when you held up the handled hinge lid basket and then you said $3.99 and we both simultaneously yelled “get it, get it!” We were saying great picnic basket or even decorative with dried flowers or driftwood (we live at the beach) As always love shopping along with you and Roger. Great video.
The man with the corn is a Tom Clark figurine. They were made in Davidson, NC, sold in higher end home and department stores, and were very collectible several years ago. My mother collected his mothers with children figures.
Yes. They hired people to paint them at home. Might have been one of the first work from home jobs, lol! I lived in Statesville in the 90s and almost applied for a job painting the gnomes when I had my daughter, but soon learned that it wasn't going to work out with an infant.
They are well made BUT very very common. They also look OLDER than they really are. But they are very well sculpted.
I'm so happy for you that you find so many really nice items to sell and I'm also a little bit jealous, but jealous in a good way ❤. There isn't any Good Will & only one thrift store within 150 miles of me! 300+ miles both directions and driving around once I'm in Oklahoma City or Enid!
Karen, I can't thank you enough for all that you've taught me with your kindness, and through your fun, informational videos! You're definitely the G.O.A.T!! (Greatest Of All Time) I definitely don't want you or anyone, especially you, thinking I was saying something mean!
Omg Rodger is absolutely adorable! He’s still a boy at heart. I love the way he’s dressed too. You make him happy, Karen. I’d venture to say he does the same for you. I love watching the two of you! Just getting started in reselling myself but if you all ever need anything in the Chicago area, please reach out!
Loved the video as always. When my daughter was 18, (18years ago) I bought her a beautiful Jewelry Box from Bombay. She says she will kept it forever.
Yes, Roger. They were called recorders! I had one in school as well!
🥰Regarding the jewelry organization: Have you thought of purchasing a hanging organizer for shoes with clear plastic pockets? You could see each piece of jewelry clearly, and a hanging organizer wouldn’t take up much room. Just a thought.🥰
I sell jewelry, my suggestion separate them by gold tone, silver tone multicolor, then by earrings, necklace, bracelets etc... I always find things using that system.
Recorder, like a flute. We all had them.
Don't forget Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello for the turtles! Another good trip to GW!!
What about Leonardo?
Suggestion on jewlery organization - grab some bins (like small ornament bins) where you could have trays inside and layer the pieces while keeping each one separate.
And yes to lists - I actually add things to the list that i do that weren't on my original list just to check it off! 🤣
I love, how Roger is being more and more relaxed on videos, You are such a good pair
A coaster holder without coasters could be a miniature dollhouse.
Came to the comments just to see what someone would do with the coaster holder ❣️great idea 💞
I do miniatures and that is such a great idea.😊
If you had 4, you could do dioramas of the seasons. There’s lots of different scenes they could be used for. Good suggestion!
Finding a sewing box like that is my dream!!
I did not know Ethan Allen made a comeback
Love the sewing stand. It would have been even sweeter if the spools of thread were wooden. By the way, you are Roger are such a cute couple. ❤️
Meow meow...... you are doing a super job Karen!!!!! Cute hubby and you are set!!!! I love the sewing box and anything kitty cat!!!
We called them fluteophones at my Lancaster County elementary school back in the day.
I went to elementary in Bloomington, Mn. I still have my fluteophone-kept in my piano bench. I went on to play flute & piccolo. However, my old red&white fluteophone makes a musical appearance every Christmas 🎄 😂
That squishy squid and the ‘no sale’ quilt blankie would be perfect for any elementary school.. 🤓🐶☕️
I love wallpaper for shelf/drawer liner.
I love watching your videos. Besides being informative, they are calming with lots of laughs. Thank you. 😊
Me to!
Karen I believe you're right, we all had to play a recorder when I was growing up and I'm your age . Rodger needs to Google it LOL😅
Yes i remember the Bombay Co. in our "Mall"! so long ago! Love to shop along with you and Roger, he finds such funny stuff! I hope you bought that "K" pillow for your place?
Hi Karen…lots of great finds today! Don’t forget…do we love a good chicken… bawk bawk! Lol
I agree, she passes by a lot of chickens. I luv them.❤
I worked a huge Bombay as an Asst. Manager. Loved it!
I have what was my mom's (possibly grandmother's) wooden sewing basket. It's double handled and opens out in tiers on both sides. I love it! I remember the Bombay Company. That Asian quilt looks beautiful ‼️ Nice trumpet!
I love a good Cat! Also a good Frog
Hi Karen! Great shopping trip. I really liked the Oriental pillow/blanket. Such a great find. Fun video, as always. 💕
FYI - That large Goffa Octupus sold for $245 bc they have approximately 6 smaller animals on the inside that’s why it was so heavy. The smaller Goffa plushes do not sell for a huge profit.
Very cool
Idea for you Karen: for the jewelry, how about using a filing cabinet with permanently numbered file folder holders that you put the inventory in (you could put a few pieces under one number) and include the number in your listing so you know exactly where to look. Most jewelry is probably thin enough to store this way and they have wider folder holders that can fit the bigger pieces.
OMG I was thinking the same thing!
About the jewelry
Karen you have the midas touch when finding good goods at the Goodwill.😊
I think Rodger was trying to think of a "Flutophone". We all had to learn to play one in 5th grade, it was our first year in band. Ours were white Flutophones, but I think now they make black ones too. I still have mine from 46 years ago and my daughters from 20 years ago. It doesn't seem like it's been 20 YEARS since she was in 5th grade! My gosh I'm getting old! I sure pray I'm getting wise too...🤔🦉👵🏼
I hope you got the Goffa octopus, one sold $249.00 on ebay a few days ago. Non other on ebay.
regarding the silk pillow, my mom got a few of those from her china trip when she went to see the great wall of china. They took a day trip to the silk city and she bought them there. I have them now, and they are the most wonderful blankets/pillows ever.
You guys are my fav couple! So much inspiration, practical advice, adventure, love… thank you for sharing your thrifting/biz lives with us! You all are wholesome and total #relationshipgoals
Oh, a cat!!! We cat parents love a good cat🐈
IDK Karen, I'm proud of my corn when it turns out really good, sweet big ears, along with all of my other vegetables that I grow 🤷🏻♀️. If that was a woman, I can see my daughter buying it for me, as a corn growing trophy 😂. I'm truthfully praying my tomatoes turn out this year and I harvest a big crop of them so I can make & can picante sauce, tomato sauce/juice, canned tomatoes & mixed tomatoes, okra & corn to can.
My favorite is when you say, "Do we love a good pig? Yes, we do."
So loving your videos. U are an inspiration. Bless your adventures and hard work. Nice couple. U guys are great.
The "Hamster thing" is an add on piece to a habitrail or similar set up. It's a modular design of tubes and "houses". I've seen set ups that go through every room in a house, like a model train set.
I love the vintage sewing box.
Hi Karen and Roger..glad you are doing well Nice sewing box, silk Oriental set. I bet you walk miles down stairs pulling orders. Exercise pulling down totes too!
Oh my goodness, Karen, you have been a busy bee reorganizing your basement; and it looks good! After the day's shopping and pulling items, I do hope you had some relaxing time that night. 😂 Looks like Roger works just as hard as you, and You make a great team.❤❤❤❤❤
You two are such a great couple I l love watching the 2of you
Lovely finds, Karen! I love the macrame light shade!
I love , love, love when you add pull n ship 🤗🤗🤗😊😊😊😊😊
I have to say every time I hear you say ‘do we love a good pig ? Yes we do ‘ is my favorite!
Yes Karen. That’s what I do with jewelry. I have a plastic bin with drawers & I separate rings, necklaces, bracelets & brooches. Works fine so far. Loved your show as always!
I sell under the name "Animals*Plus" so I love a good pig , fish, cat, dog or whatever!
Can we see how you packed and shipped that Italian flower sculpture?
Love that sewing box , you 2 are so fun..
Do we love a good CAT?...yes, we do...I am a cat person...although I also have 2 tiny yorkies.
I bought a few cat items from you...one was a sweater...it is a conversation piece out in public...😅
That black pot by no name artist would be lovely with the basket you got in the trolley.
I love kitties.
Yes, I have list for the day and if don’t get done it’s the same list for the next day and some get done and it grows.
I would weave strings of fairy lights in the macrame piece and hand it. :-)
I loved Bombay bought alot Roger looks amazing today your 1 lucky lady such a sweet smile
😊
You could always partition the jewellery tub with cardboard to separate the types of jewellery. 😊
Great video!!! Always so informative, with good background info!!! And always a treat seeing how much fun u and Roger are having!!! Wishing u both a productive spring!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Hello from Germany 🙂 .... I love your pulling the shipping 😀
Thank You Love Seeing This business Side of Pulling Sales And Sharing Changes to Your Home Lovely
I love to get up early and listen to things to do for the day. I find I’m most productive in morning hours. My favorite animal is cat.. Love those cat items - jewelry, statues, etc
Been out of range for internet so I’m thrilled to see this video now!
Do we love a good cat? Yes we do love a good cat! 😉
Basket.. basket baskets!!! ❤🎉
that sewing basket!!! so good
You two are the sweetest couple 😘. So happy you found each other.
Debbie from Portland Oregon
You are such a hard worker. I admire you so much, I am in awe of everything that you accomplish in a day and how organized you are.
I learn from you every time I watch you.
Thank you and Roger for sharing your lives with us, you two are so cute together❤
Beautiful pillow! Great find!
Cats. Buy All the cats!😻
Glad you sold the big bingo machines you made good money
That was a Martha Washington sewing cabinet. You should get a nice price for it. My mother had one, which one of my sisters has.
You guys have been busy this morning! Positive energy!!! What vitamins do you take???
Love your sweet smiles today!
I think you should have your thumbnail photo printed and framed! Darling! ❤
I am working on my storage, so it was good to have a refresher of your basement. Thanks for sharing,
Karen I love a good kitty! Love Mim
Thank you for all the information and laughter.
Ok, I think it's weird to say I'm yelling at the computer, as you're looking at coasters (not interesting at all - Haha), LOOK UP at the little mid-century angel, possibly paper mâché, but beautiful! Probably not big bucks, but she'd be in my cart!
I have that exact sewing kit!! I had no idea it’s worth!!
You obviously have your business down to a science. So enjoyable to watch and listen to Lavender Clothesline videos with your clear and often fun thought process as you (and Roger) thrift. Thanks for taking me along. 🤗 I’m still brown away by your organized system at home.
My fav is, "Do we love a good pig". You found some amazing items today. I can't wait to see how much the "Oriental" silk pillow set sells for!
I am amazed at your organization 😊
Karen never get tired of you sharing how #organized you are
Cute wooden sewing box. You should do well with that. Hose caddy great find also. Gorgeous metal work flower decor item. Do you still wash, steam, spot removal for the clothes/linens etc. you sell? I am finding most sellers are not processing their things. I will not buy items that haven't been cleaned.
I was wondering the same. I am gearing up to start reselling again, and have found many clothing items that seem very clean, and of course, some brand new with tags. Any other sellers have input on this?
U guys r such a beautiful couple!💗
Loved the bombay company!
My jewelry all goes into the small stackable sterilite 3 drawer towers i love it they only hold so much but they are all pretty much laying flat in each drawer so I inventory them by JTA JTB JTC JTD SO JT is in my head jewelry tower with a subsequent letter behind it. I don’t know if that makes sense but pulling jewelry is a thousand times faster than it ever was.
Yes I have also been told
Asian= People
Oriental= Things
I only made that mistake (ignorant) once and was corrected by someone that is married to a lady of Asian descent. I felt so bad and he said it’s very common and he also told me to correct others when I hear them make the same mistake. Which I have but only to family members and close loved ones. I love the ship with me content so much. You and Roger crack me up 😂
Jewelry- mine is sorted by year and first letter in the title- this avoids having very similar items all together (pearl necklaces, gold earrings) so it is easier to spot what sold.
Hey guys 😊 I use vintage wallpaper in the journals I make ❤ beautiful 😍
Lafayette 148 New York is one of my favorite designer brands. Their clothing, shoes and accessories are costly, but the quality is amazing. I owned many pieces until I retired then sold them all on Ebay when I first started as a reseller in 2012. Another great video Karen!!
Karen you should get a pocket hose they make some good lite weight ones now and take up next to no room❣️💞
I grew up in Media PA. In elementary school we had to learn to play the "Melody Flute".
Love that sewing box on wheels. Great find. You always make me laugh. You're so funny Karen. I always learn so much from your videos. Thank you.
Karen you crack me up when you say if this was $1.99 I would buy it and I’m screaming at the screen Yeah! We all would!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kork Ease is a good brand sells great
Karen, Thank you, I enjoy watching pulling orders, wish you would show more videos like this.
