wat a relatable character. we all had that one moment when there was something we knew we broke but that second thought that there's no way it just happened so suddenly
Because angelic weapons hurt them, but just like normal weapons, you have to hit in good spots to kill him. It was deep, but apparently not deep enough to kill him. It's not like they die immediately after being touched by an angelic weapon.
@@anasofia4692 Fair, accept it was to a defenseless down opponent and full on direct and it didn’t even damage him…when a non direct blast snapped his mic staff 🤷♂️
Something even smaller no-one points at Alastor is genuinely shocked, aside from dropping the filter he also actively drops the clear trans-atlantic accent he would normally talk in, this is best compared to earlier in the fight when it starts, the way his voice sounds when he says "im going to fucking kill you" sounds like a completely different accent
@Axxidous yeah, I used that as a example, you can hear the difference between him saying fuck in both sentences, and when he breaks voice it isn't in the accent
@@Axxidous Wasn't the moment he said "I'm about to end your fucking life" so badass? I really love it tbh. In PILOT he also swore maybe several times, like "Fucking focus" he said
I hope he gets a new cane before season 2 comes out as he seems to need it to control his powers. Without it, he is going to be seriously nerfed for season 2
My mind was honestly blown when his radio filter disappeared for that little bit. I also love how confused he was as he tried to figure out what happened, and why his cane was fucked.
FOR A SPLIT SECOND, while he was down after he was struck by Adam his eye turns black similar to husk and angel dust further proving he has a deal with another demon
That and also he alludes to wanting to get out of a deal at the very end when he crawls back to his radio booth. I guess the question is with whom, which is kind of chilling considering that he is certainly afraid of someone or something when his is known to be a powerful overlord himself? It's funny that at first he says it's just in with Charlie's plan for his own amusement, when it turns out he is desperate for it to work. Good news, the concept does work but there is no way it is going to be easy for him.
If you re-watch certain moments the pilot and the moment in episode 2 where Alastor threatens husker the radio voice is dramatically toned down to outright gone Whenever he's being honest or genuine. Like the radio is a hint Whenever he lies and manipulates
I honestly like that he didn't just easily beat Adam, makes it more realistic and not seem like he's too overpowered and seeing him genuinly shocked while loosing his radio effect is just perfect
Bro didn't even bring angelic weapons as a backup after Adam easily bashed through his force field. Either overlords (or alastor specifically) are super duper cocky or dude's into some real contractual bs.
I don't know maybe Alastor can't use his full power remember when husk said to him someone got your soul too and Alastor got mad because it was his first time to lose
@@kinginblack7074even if he couldn't use his full power, I think he just never lost and was too confident in his powers, after all Adam is still the first human and leader of the exorcists while he is, though very powerful, still "just" an overlord
@@_that_one_gacha_kid_The problem is he lost too easily. It was said that NO mortal soul in hell had ever manifested or wielded as much power as Alastor, he has been getting hype since his very first appearance. But the way he lost made him look like a bitch. He didn't slowly take damage until he couldn't fight anymore, he didn't significantly hurt Adam in any way, like- not even a flesh wound. And for someone who is constantly shown to be plotting, he had no plan. He got his medium insulted, got humbled in seconds, and then ran away with his tail between his legs. Not a good look for him.
@@suohd.sunking6964 Adam is the first human ever, and is in charge of the single most powerful army of the verse. Also, even if it wasn't the case, there was no way for Alastor to wound Adam, because he wasn't using angelic weapons.
His accent is more the famous radio "Transatlantic" voice IMO, so it losing the filter may sound like a weird hybrid of both English and American accents to some.
its a transatlantic accent, it was created back in the day so people could understand what was being said over static-ey radio, its a mix of a british and american accent
I like to think that Alastor’s radio voice is always on because its like he’s on the air constantly, and is putting up a show for everyone (hiding his true thoughts and intentions), and in that moment of shock and surprise, his ‘off-mic’ self showed himself.
It's not. Listening carefully every time he speaks, you'll notice he'll add and drop it here and there at will. Usually, however, he seems to prefer the filter.
Alastor must be physically unable to smile, otherwise we would've dropped it while getting hit that hard. He toed the line of (double) death and still couldn't drop it. That's a horrific curse.
Apparently a sinners hell form manifests with a clue as to how they died, and a trait that they absolutely hate about themselves. Maybe Alastor despised his smile, and now he's forced to smile for all of eternity.
IM SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED THAT- okay im slightly convinced his cane holds a lot of his power simply because there’s a lot of it, not that he doesn’t have it anymore he just lost it in that moment and thus had to retreat until he could regain said power
I gotta theory. If you look to the moment when alastor falls to the ground while he is trying to stand up just for a moment his eyes go dark like husk's eyes. Because as we know in hell black eyes means someone owns your soul. And I also we know that alastir has a deal with someone(who is still a mystery). I think his deal is about his powers cause in that moment he fell, he probably tried to use his real powers but it didn't work because of the deal so his eyes turned black. As we all know alastor wouldn't try to fight someone who he knows he can't beat, so he probably thought he can do this without his real powers but know he figured out he can't. after this fight we see his mental break down in the finale song. In that song he says "when I unclip my wings" And this faves the idea of what if somehow alastor have some angelic power cause if you listened the insane song (song about alastor) in there he says "I knew I'm not belong among angels" So this is also another proof of that. The other thing that I think who he made deal with is someone who is now in heaven cause as we know when husk or angeldust tries to do something against thelr deal we see a chain but in alastor we only see his eyes go black because the deal maker is not in hell at that moment. But also the deal made in the hell rules it should've been done in hell so that means deal maker was in hell 7 years ago (before alastor gone missing) but now is in the heaven. So to me it looks like the deal maker is lilith (who also was gone missing 7 years ago and now in heaven). And if alastor really had a angelic power, lilith might be take those powers with the deal and used them to go to heaven.
Other evidence to support this video. First, in episode 7 when Alestor gives Charlie his radio, Charlie doesn’t receive a radio voice, and also Alestor still has his radio voice while Charlie still had it. Second, in episode 8 when Alestor retreated to his radio room (with the cane still being broken mind you) Alestor has his radio voice again, after this when he returns to the group after they rebuilt the hotel he has his radio voice again as well(still lacking his cane).
he often drops the static filter for individual words. but here he also completely loses his radio-host accent voice making it seem twice as strange if ykwim
Plus there was that moment where he had no radio sound effect when Husker went to talk to him about Mimzy. Definitely controls it so as to be more menacing and possess something recognizable. I actually do like hearing his real voice when decides to drop it if I’m being honest.
I actually did notice this too. There were many times throughout the season where he also noticeably did not have a radio effect in his voice in a line or two and wondered why.
When you think about it, Alastor trusted Charlie enough to give her his cane in episode 7. Sorta shows how much trust he has in her. If he knew his cane controlled his powers/abilities, and gave it to her knowing full well she wouldn’t break it. Shows genuine trust and friendship

not only an angelic weapon adam´s angelic weapon, the one that can make angelic beams
Something even smaller no-one points at
Alastor is genuinely shocked, aside from dropping the filter he also actively drops the clear trans-atlantic accent he would normally talk in, this is best compared to earlier in the fight when it starts, the way his voice sounds when he says "im going to fucking kill you" sounds like a completely different accent
"I'm going to end your fucking life" 🤓
Good catch. Transatlantic "huwhhatt" becomes standart american english "wat".
Doesn’t he say “I’m going to end your fucking life”?
It’s weird when he swears. It’s like he’s breaking character.
@Axxidous yeah, I used that as a example, you can hear the difference between him saying fuck in both sentences, and when he breaks voice it isn't in the accent
@@Axxidous Wasn't the moment he said "I'm about to end your fucking life" so badass? I really love it tbh. In PILOT he also swore maybe several times, like "Fucking focus" he said
To be fair Alastor is used to be the top of the food-chain.
getting so overwhelmed was a new sensation to him.
The tiny details
Ahhhhh
Bro the attentoin to detail is everythinggg
“What just happened?”
*looks down*
“fffffuck”
R.I.P. Alastor’s cane😢 (also I wonder if Alastor will make a new cane from the pieces of the old one)
Was his cane sentient tho? I'm a new casual & I briefly saw it alive or talking I think if I'm not mistaken,so this makes it more sad
@@monsterunderyourcouch that's good 😊. I hope it gets some lore or flashback backstory
@@properjellydontbeproper3652 yes in the pilot it was talking for a brief moment
@@monsterunderyourcouchNo it's not. If you look closely, he doesn't have the cane with him anymore after his part of the final song
The fact he was so suprised he forgot to do his radio effect, but still smiled.
Yeah he can't stop the smile.
@@Los_BreadstickMartian he can, he just doesnt
@@waffles321 what proof do you have that he can?
@@Los_BreadstickMartian vivzy said he could 🤷♀️
@@Los_BreadstickMartianhe literally explained in the show why he’s always smiling
This scene was so cool, because it was really one of the few times where alastor breaks his composure.
Unapologetically my favorite moment from the show

If you re-watch certain moments the pilot and the moment in episode 2 where Alastor threatens husker the radio voice is dramatically toned down to outright gone Whenever he's being honest or genuine. Like the radio is a hint Whenever he lies and manipulates
Actually he may manipulate but I think he never lies, but correct me if i'm wrong
"Did you notice this thing that very obviously and clearly happened in the show?"
Finally we have someone realizing that Alastor isn’t using his fully power
We gotta give this guy huge props for how much effort and time he puts into these daily videos
It’s called content farming and the props received is the money and views
i like to think alastors radio effect is like a tone indicator, it disappeared at times during the pilot too
Bro yelled in lower case “ahhh”
UNDERRATED-
That's the perfect way to describe it 😭
Well he probably didn't want to let down his persona just yet
Bro I’m dying over this comment 💀💀 BUT it’s so trueeeee!! Good one 😭😭😂
His voice by itself is actually amazing I never heard someone with a voice like that before
you didn't? It's a very common tone of voice
We're all talking about his surprise and survival. Anyone mentioning how surprisingly soft his tone really is?
Glad people remembered THE CANE TALKED BEFORE!
I wish we would have gotten more of his real voice
Bro was so shocked he unradioed himself
I remember hearing Amir’s regular voice before the finale aired, and when I saw that scene I was so shocked lol
Dude was the whole time out here faking an accent
His accent is more the famous radio "Transatlantic" voice IMO, so it losing the filter may sound like a weird hybrid of both English and American accents to some.
its a transatlantic accent, it was created back in the day so people could understand what was being said over static-ey radio, its a mix of a british and american accent
Transatlantic! ^^
Well you’re right that he’s putting on an accent, a transatlantic accent is learned, it’s not natural.
@@kawansiesquad6659all accents are learned lmao
I like to think that Alastor’s radio voice is always on because its like he’s on the air constantly, and is putting up a show for everyone (hiding his true thoughts and intentions), and in that moment of shock and surprise, his ‘off-mic’ self showed himself.
It's not. Listening carefully every time he speaks, you'll notice he'll add and drop it here and there at will. Usually, however, he seems to prefer the filter.
dude i honestly love alastors character so much its so interesting
Alastor lost his menacing aura when his cane got destroyed, like bro seemed like an ordinary demon in that scene
Without his radio effect sounds kind of like a sqeaky duck lol
Love how the short bleeps the swear with a squeak. I noticed this on my first watch ngl but love the show for that
I saw this and rewatched it so many times and wished it could be for longer
"Nah I'd win."
- Gojo wait I mean Alastor.
Gojostor the Sorcerer Demon
That’s so cool how he just lost focus on so many things at once lol
I’ve heard him lose his radio voice several times throughout the series, glad someone’s noticed them
He also gets out of his transformation when his micro is destroyed
Alastor without a filter sounds like his name is Kevin.
You potentially have no idea how terrifying that really is... My god is not a smiling god.
Literally one of his best lines tho
Honestly, don’t know what Alastor was surprised for. He went to fight Adam WITHOUT AN ANGELIC WEAPON
I wish he didn't lose. It makes me feel weird knowing he's beatable
Bro was so shook he had to pause the filter
Alastor must be physically unable to smile, otherwise we would've dropped it while getting hit that hard. He toed the line of (double) death and still couldn't drop it. That's a horrific curse.
@@oraspring3997 That's a brilliant theory! :0
Apparently a sinners hell form manifests with a clue as to how they died, and a trait that they absolutely hate about themselves. Maybe Alastor despised his smile, and now he's forced to smile for all of eternity.
Vivienne says his "perma-smile" is due to his very self enforced ego.
@@PrinceBelTheRipper95self-enforced? Oh, shit! What does that mean?!
I did not know that, I whatched another video that said it was because of the broken Cane, I trust you more then the other person tho.
That should be right because it is a microphone which connects him ON AIR
@@randomfandom9459literally in the final song he speaks whit the filter on but whitout the cane
The other short was made by stevenposting who is a friend of mine
@@ayylmaotv lol, that’s ironic
I love how even after he was injured he still smiled, showing either he had some curse or smiling was a part of his form.
He also doesn't talk in his radio voice in other episodes so he doesn't lose his voice so people can't be surprised on this part
Yeah, he lost focus and from shock he couldn’t keep the filter on in a way
IM SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED THAT-
okay im slightly convinced his cane holds a lot of his power simply because there’s a lot of it, not that he doesn’t have it anymore he just lost it in that moment and thus had to retreat until he could regain said power
I Like in this scene how it is like an irl radio show host who just lost their mic mid sentence.
Bro was too confident
The only 4 words we ever heard from alastor's normal voice without the radio effect.
this is just not true. He loses his radio effect quite a lot during the series
Your not wrong but it's usually barely noticeable@@Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmiam
he often drops the static filter for individual words. but here he also completely loses his radio-host accent voice making it seem twice as strange if ykwim
Dude we better get more scenes in the seasons to come of alastors voice without the filter
It's speculated that his leash was pulled at this moment thus he lost power and was defeated.
Plus there was that moment where he had no radio sound effect when Husker went to talk to him about Mimzy. Definitely controls it so as to be more menacing and possess something recognizable. I actually do like hearing his real voice when decides to drop it if I’m being honest.
Facts like this is unnoticeable when the first time watching it, but it makes the second time more enjoyable.
I noticed it immediately
I did notice this and thought it was one of the coolest and most attention to detail things that could have happened in that moment!!
I actually did notice this too.
There were many times throughout the season where he also noticeably did not have a radio effect in his voice in a line or two and wondered why.
That one fight put him on the Fraud List real fast. Wonder how strong he is with not restrictions though
Amazing, another hazbin hotel secret learned keep up the great content.
This fight was amazing
His radio effect actually did come back, I think he was just so genuinely surprised that he forgot to do the filter.
Ayyyy Lmao is like the MatPat of Hazbin Hotel. Idk what we'd do without you, my guy.
If you pause at the perfect frame, alastor’s eyes will be looking in different directions
And he said that completely smiling. ❤
Yes I did know this 👍
When you think about it, Alastor trusted Charlie enough to give her his cane in episode 7. Sorta shows how much trust he has in her. If he knew his cane controlled his powers/abilities, and gave it to her knowing full well she wouldn’t break it. Shows genuine trust and friendship
did you watch the video?
Yea I did but I was not talking about the filter and if ya notice all his abilities disappear when the cane broke ^^.
@@shadowwolf698 then he wouldn’t have been able to flee

ALASTOR GAVE MY SOUL RIGHT NOW
More impressively he didn't lose his smile
It also did when he made the deal with Charlie when he said heaven's no.
He never stops smiling even in the face of death
