  • Caucasus Crossing is a three part series of my 900km solo bikepacking journey through Caucasus Mountains in Georgia.
Episode 1 takes us north from Tbilisi all the way to Chechen border zone. Two full days of hike-a-bike and a stormy night at altitude finally takes me to snowy Atsunta Pass, one of the two passes leading to isolated Tusheti Valley.
In Episode 2 ( • BIKEPACKING TUSHETI VA... ) we explore the remote Tusheti Valley while battling with lack of food. Episode 3 takes us to Lesser Caucasus and exposes my worrying symptoms of deep exhaustion accumulated over the journey.
Episode 3 Lesser Caucasus • BIKEPACKING LESSER CAU...

Tosi hienoja videoita kiitos, kiva että löysin kanavan. Olen tuota salsan fillaria harkinnut itsellekkin, fargo toisena ehdokkina. Pärjää näköjään hyvin noinkin vaativassa maastossa.

kiitos! 🙏 Salsa oli ainakin kevyt kantaa 😂 Seuraavalle reissulle vastaavaan maastoon täytyy kyllä harkita joustokeulaa.

So beautiful trip. Quiet and calm. May I ask you? What is that tent?

Thanks!🙏 It’s Hilleberg Enan. Really happy with it - sturdy enough, packs small and weighs only 1,2kg.

I was carrying a GoPro Hero 7 and Sony ZV-1 in Georgia.
Just this week, I pulled the trigger and invested in Hero 12 with media mod to get better audio on the go 😊

Thanks, Episode 2 from Tusheti Valley on the way! It’s just the excellent outdoor weather up here in the Nordics that’s delaying my editing process 😉

That was an awesome watch! I live in Georgia and want to do something like that one day. Going to start preparing with a short ride to a waterfall today.

oh man! I'm planing to ride this lands next trip maybe, but I'm doubt about the weather en October.. I enjoyed a lot your video. How did you your checking pass in the border? Is it easy to get? Thanks

My trip happened in September and the nights already got quite cold in higher altitude. On the other hand - it was really hot down in the valleys 😁
I got the border permits in a checkpoint higher up the mountain (not the one in the valley near Atsunta trailhead which bikepacking.com was advising). The actual permit process was really straightforward and took me less than 15mins, most of which was spent chatting with the border guards 😊
Have a great trip, Tusheti is one amazing place to visit!
