Sinclair couldn't do it because he wasn't actually Sinclair. He didn't realize you had to have a certain nervous system and not anybody can do it. Since it was a fake Sinclair, he didn't have the neuroplasticity and died in the process
Please keep doing this cause it’s a fucking awesome show and your guys’ ability to explain some of the connections to other media is quite cool cause it introduces me to more of the stuff I like!
So happy you guys are doing this series! Never left a comment before, but I really like your reaction videos :) Wanted to say, you got it right that the frame rate thing is a stylistic choice. Can't remember which reactor I was watching who explained it, but yeah. It's designed to imitate a 2D animation style, possibly reminiscent of some of the older mech series that it's inspired by, and by doing that for the non-action scenes and then using a more normal 3D animation style for the action sequences, you get action scenes that look and feel even more fluid than they would otherwise. There are a few other animated shows that use a similar style, but it's a pretty unique idea really, though I know it's not for everyone. Anyway, can't wait to watch this series with you guys!
Yeah no the suits aren't actually needed for the mechs o.o It's just another prototype tech the ESU has... it's actually being worked on for the rank and file of the Vanguard... but since the gen:lock recruits are so important and they're PART of the ESU they may as well use the prototype suits and test them out o.o
TJ G What do you mean? The suits helping with the process is common sense, plus it’s more to dissuade false information being spread. It’s not like it affects much to know they do that. I put “no spoilers” for what ELSE the suits do.
Highly recommend watching future episodes with the subtitles turned on, aside from just being a good idea to make sure you're not missing anything important if one of you happens to talk over something, but also it can really help for understanding some of what Cammie says in her scottish accent and without giving any spoilers there is are certain lines of dialogue in a later episode that are deliberately distorted so again having the subtitles on will make sure you understand what is being said.
I was thinking Titanfall. But, I mean... that's also an amalgamation of many different sci-fi ideas. Also Doctor Weller's character is _AWESOME_ Not because of the humor with David Tennant's mannerisms but the way he handles things is well-written to show how smart his character is. Not telling, doing. (Also you may want to turn on captions if you have issues with Cammie's accent- she gets the spotlight a lot and the captions don't seem to have any problems)
There is a slower frame rate for the less intense scenes and they speed it up when the scene gets more intense. Like what's the point of making it super smooth during two characters talking. I think it's a stylistic choice or maybe to save on time and money but either way I love it.
NOM NOM it is a stylistic choice. The term for it is animating “on the 2s” meaning every scene is animated every 2 frames, while the action and fighting is animated on every frame like most things are. I believe Into The Spider-verse did the same thing.
Yeah considering what the purple chick is, you can be 100% sure she does not come from Eastern Europe. Ain't no way something like that would be developed in our neck of the world.
@@dankcardboard9078 Yeah, in the future the west is likely going to be wroth with internal conflict, while Japan and Eastern Europe remain the last bastions of sane people. XD Joking aside, our region here has already got their vaccines for islamic occupation and communism, and through the two of those we have essentially become a post forced multyculturalism society that managed to survive as a people by clinging to its nationality(and sadly Christianity) for dear life. Stuff like her becoming normalized in this region, even after 50 years, is incredibly unlikely.
@@helldrake77777 She's Ukrainian. And it's mentioned in the character trailers that was she a member of the resistance in Eastern Europe, with maps showing large parts of Eastern Europe(ukraine included) as being part of the Union. Also, did you really have to include those shots at "the west" in there?
@@Gore1704 Well then. Western influence is making breaks...that is disappointing... And considering it is the current proponent of identity politics and the actual internal social conflict there, yes, yes it was, as it was just referencing observable reality.

After seeing the most recent episode, the "I know someone who would very much like to say hello to you" comment makes a lot more sense in retrospect.
OH! yeah fuck.
RIGHT?!?!?!

now that I've watch the latest episode... what Sinclair just said in front Chase tank, really means a lot...
20:41 Dr. Weller's eyebrow raise gets me everytime
Rooster Teeth knows what they're doing.

Like the new local. You need to do a tour. What’s that armor on the rack from?
Destiny, maybe?
My first guess is half-life until I saw the platting

it also helps with the gen:LOCK process.
Yeah, they do say later “besides their use in the gen:lock process, they...” (no spoilers). So yeah, they help with the process!
Why post a spoiler, instead of after it posted?

Have you guys heard that Rooster Teeth is going to be making a Transformers War for Cybertron cartoon?
Sinclair's line to chase is interesting with the recent revelation from the latest episode.
Please do this the whole season
I love your new reaction studio, happy for you guys :-)
Otto Arvidsson it's not a new reaction studio. It's their buddies podcast studio.
@RenegadeMediaGroup Do you have any thoughts about this whole Vic Mignogna sh*tstorm?
Looking forward to your reaction to episode 4 for multiple reasons I can't get into because spoilers!
Still can't see this frame rate people talk about. But I don't think it change for the fight. Just movement mean your not seeing the slowness.

It was more noticeable in the first clip we saw a while back. You get used to it very quickly and don’t really notice it

@@thetntraider Yup, and I'm so glad Spider verse got that Oscar, it's such a great movie! Anyways I really like the animation nonetheless.
