Hi there, after severe cold weather both the front and rear windscreen spray stop working. Front wiper is still working but rear is dead. What could be the problem? Fuse? I can't hear pump noise when I activate the spray lever. Thanks.
The water in the pump or pipes could be frozen. It happened last week on my Peugeot 307 and they started working again when I drove for a while and the engine warmed up
@@screwsnutsandbolts
Actually, the fuse blown. I replaced the fuse and all working fine. Frozen pipes made the motor work hard and blown the fuse. Thanks
Ah ok, at least it was only the fuse :)
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes I was so worried. Thanks. Happy Christmas 🎄
does this apply to a 2009 golf city?
No this is only for the 2004 to 2007 Golf models.
@@screwsnutsandbolts I just got a 2009 and I’m worried there won’t be many parts for it. It only had 77000 km though
Why does mine only work when the hatch is up?
The hose must be getting pinched or over-creased when the tailgate is closed
Hi !
How are you?
I have a problem with my car (Golf mk5 1.6fsi)
When it’s humid weather or raining all night, in the morning car starts then cut off in a second if I try again after 2-3 hours car start normally
Do you know how to fix this issue ?
Thanks
It could be a number of different issues but check out this video: ruclips.net/video/YCKxbPAo1SI/видео.html
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks for answer
Yeah I have seen before this video
But mk5 fsi have ignition coils pack not dist cap
I scanned for error codes and found cylinder 4 misfire I don’t know if this is related with my problem recently I changed spark plugs
Oh sorry, I didn't realise the vehicle in that video had a distributor. The coil pack could be the problem. Did you take it out and check it for any damage or cracks that could let in any moisture ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts I didn’t check by myself but I think my mechanic does and he said that need to change again spark plugs to install oem Volkswagen spark plugs this time, current spark plugs are Bosch
This car has Bosch plugs and runs fine but if that's what your mechanic thinks after checking out the car then it's worth a try. If the problem is still there after changing the plugs I'd try the coils next.
