This time we asked to film Mori-san, a long-established tempura yatai in Nakasu.
In fact, this is the first restaurant I stopped by when I first came to Fukuoka, so I have deep memories of this place.
I was impressed by the owner, who seemed to enjoy setting up the stall as if it were a hobby rather than a job.
Come to think of it, I remember the first time I went to this store, he seemed to be enjoying his work.
The interior and atmosphere of the yatai have not changed since the Showa period.
It is one of the popular yatai in Hakata where you can enjoy tempura with the owner who loves Fukuoka.

I have been here 3 times so far. Even though I can’t speak Japanese and Mori San can’t speak English, we bond over what food and alcohol I order and sometimes I’ll get locals to translate.
It’s some of the best times in the world for me.

My Goodness, Master Mori does everything by himself, setting up, lifting, organising things, break ice, put food beer in place, set up stoves, prepare food almost from scratch. No pre-processed food, running in and out, cooks various food, chitchats with customers and makes them feel warm and welcomed, always smiling, always with positive energy and he is 74 yo, which I think he's extremely smart looking, charismatic, people attraction, and he even smiles when he is doing an exhausting work, cut food, mix, cook, clean. He is simply a very radiant individual with powerhouse energy of 20 yo man. I wish to visit, and makes it in a bucket list when I visit Japan. If I have a chance, I would ask him for advice of living good life.
