    My favourite granular module. What other module can casually cv modulate start and end loop points, preset state, sample selection, grain controls, drywet and more all at once. Fantastic!

    Great instructive video. I have had 112 for a few months, and I am still learning. I missed some nice features in the manual, such as varispeed. Thank you for the inspiration I will take from this video.

    Wow, very nice grain module! Although very 'laboratorial' and clean approach, it sounds very good!

    Excellent video as always. What is the replacement knobs you used? I’m probably going to follow your lead on this one.
    I have had this module since release and it take time to find your way around and discover your workflow but now almost two years later, I can confidently say that it will never leave my rack, in term of control and patch points, versatility and quality of the build, this module is in a class of its own. Put in the work and it will reward you immensely.

    For me, it’s important that pitch remains totally independent of speed, and you kindly advised that only this and the QuBit Nebulae could do that. I went for the Nebulae, but not without a backward glance.

      The Nebulae V2 is the only module I have ever returned for a refund. 7 days of its being useless for anything but drones and noise and back to Perfect Circuit it went. I often wonder what people who have one are using it for at all. It certainly did sound amazing. Mine just wanted to be an independent island and in a cooperative modular affair, that's rather useless.

      @@The_Invisible_Hand_Of_CV Hated it, traded it immediately. It did in fact sound great, though.

      @@The_Invisible_Hand_Of_CV Sorry to hear that. I love the Nebulae, though. But the first thing I did when I got it was to reflash the OS on a fast SD so it didn't take two hours to boot. it also fixed a problem of loading alternative instruments and my own samples. It's a shame Qu-bit didn't release on a decent SD. The OS is about 2 GB so it's big and you can't just copy it. You'd need to use special software to flash it, so an average user would just throw it out of the window (or return it).

      @@CinematicLaboratory Perhaps one did shed it too hastily. It's difficult to say really. I didn't have it long enough to even learn it had those problems. Had I fixed them maybe it would have been able to link and sync with my system and be part of the team. It was in danger of becoming a $500 blank panel in my hands I suppose. I've never encountered another brick wall in modular, just ole Nebulae V2.

      Strange that Nebula requires you to reformat with a disk image. I don’t own it any longer (great module but I have too many granular synth modules) but I remember an official update a few years ago where all you needed to do was copy a file to the sd card and it would automatically update the firmware.

    As you've eluded to, it seems .. this gadget appearing to be worthy contender, in a performance/live rack. I like much, the knob spacing, and most likely .. the robust quality of them.

    Do you have an Erica Synths Octasource? I just had to buy two of them, myself. When I have a need of sequentially mutating sounds, the Octasource modules are a great solution. For as many CV inputs that the ADDAC112A has, the sequential morphing by the Octasource would produce a great deal of variety.

    It’s an incredible module, but it can also be a bit frustrating. When it works for your workflow, it’s amazing and SUPER powerful. IMO the firmware isn’t as performant as it should be and it has a LOT of feature bloat. Despite that, no menu diving during use. I’ve used it live a bunch of times and it was great.

    the ADDAC 112 sits on my smaller sampler case, with all the usual suspects, morphogene, nebula, arbhar and beads, really powerful, the only one with a screen, something mandatory for loop/granular manipulation. The audio sources can be external manipulation of objects/instruments, or the other samplers, even feedback is welcome.

    awesome video :) i definately need to start using mine a bit more again. while watching your video i already rearranged my case to have the 112 a bit more present. may i ask what happened to your display at ~18:50 . is this some kind of screen saver mode? never saw it on mine

    • @androlicus3377
      @androlicus3377 2 месяца назад +1

      Addac added a screensaver option a few firmware updates ago. You need to manually engage it for every bank (in Options), select your desired duration, and it'll just display the active grains until you press the menu knob. Amongst other little updates, you should notice some significant performance improvements too.

    Nice module! I would use an app on my iPad for this kind of digital processing (i.e. #FRMS, #Fluss) and a #Retrokits #RK006 to hook it up to (semi) modular gear. But again, a nice module and absolute great results you are capable of to produce 😊👌🏻
