It's nice they implemented chapter 4 cover page and the original Chainsaw Man promotional color page of Denji holding a chainsaw with Makima's reflection on the ED. Even the color spreads and cover pages of the manga are goated so hopefully they implement most of those in the ED visuals. The promptly cut fan favorite (recently) Muscle devil also makes an cameo. Gone but not forgotten
Can't believed I missed Muscle Devil but it was going so fast lmao, spotted him after you mentioned it (00:21). Gah there's still probably a lot of references that flew over my head but it goes to show how well hidden they are.

As a manga reader, my reaction was a carbon copy of yours haha xD The flower you mentioned, it's referencing a panel in the first chapter of the manga. The one where Denji is telling Pochita that some devils can take over dead bodies. The flower wrapping its roots around a dead tree trunk. A nice piece of symbolism.
We both had the exact same reacts to the one image, genuinely crazy that they included something like that while also make it spoil absolutely nothing for anime only people.
