    is there any advantages with having my ssd installed in this thing rather than directly to my PC ?

      Its portable, so u can remove it and bring it to another place without taking ur entire computer.

    5:35 wtf? that's the performance of the enclosure for sure, not the nvme. You're limited to 10gbps and that's the reason you're reaching only 950MB/s and not the rated 2100MB/s read 1600MB/ write of the lexar you installed.

      Yes, that's definitely a consideration, I should've made it more clear-- my point in saying that was since the TUF Gaming A1 both supports SATA and NVMe drives, there can be a huge variation of performance. The main decider of performance will be what kind of drive you install in it, and the results shown in this video shouldn't be the 'benchmark' of how this enclosure performs-- unlike, say, GPUs which every unit of the same make and model will perform similarly across the board. Hope this clears it up!

      To be fair I think thats just the limit of usb c compared to pcie

    • @ViXoZuDo
      @ViXoZuDo 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@theorangecandle Nope... USB support right now up to 80Gbps... pci is still faster, but you can get way more performance with a better enclosure. Also, with a 40Gbps enclosure you would have more than enough bandwidth to fully use the nvme used in this video.

      @@ViXoZuDoyes way, asus tuf ssd comes with usb 3 something. If kt was usb 4, read/write speed would be around 4GB/s

    5:05 you haven't removed the thermal pad's sticker so is it to be used with the sticker on it ??

    • @KevinEvangelista
      @KevinEvangelista  Месяц назад

      There's no longer a sticker on the thermal pad at that point-- it's just shiny. Of course you have to take off any sticker on your thermal pad before using it 😂
