      Where do I start... In the Soviet Union cities were planned out based on the premise that not a lot of people will have their own personal cars. Since capitalism came to Russia some 30 odd years ago, the old plans have obviously become irrelevant, and construction is all over the place now. The Soviet city plans were bad to begin with, and the situation with businesses trying to make money by building cheap housing with total disregard for common sense (but, weirdly, in line with the local laws) has made things even worse. Traffic jams are a huge problem in Moscow, where I'm from, to the point where I just don't use my car during certain hours (I bought it for my own pleasure, not as a means of transportation, so really no worries there, I'm totally cool with using the metro or taking a bus if I need to get somewhere). And I prefer to get home after running errands as early as possible due to a lack of parking spaces. I'm actually thinking about moving away from Moscow due to the current situation, to the kind of suburbs within an hours drive from the capital. Situation's pretty bad.

      As they explained that fine filter is oily after use with petroleum fuel, so it doesn't let water through. Alcohol doesn't easily separate from water so it will probably just get backed up in the filter and stall the car ('cause normal fuel wouldn't be reaching the engine either).

    You did not do your experiment correctly. I worked as a service advisor for 20+ years and fixed many LADAs, plus advised ongoing maintenance to most of my customers; in so doing, I almost always advised them to use Coke ZERO not Coke. This is because it has less sugar that caused the problem that you had in this video. I remember seeing a young fella and his older husband come into the repair shop claiming warranty on their '98 Tesla Prius after putting Cola in gas tank. I remember telling the two dudes that I could do nothing for them as only Coke Zero(as it is an advised lubricant for unleaded fuels, according to the U.S. MHVA) could be serviced under warranty. After about 5 mins of explaining 1998 Model Year Ford Warranty Guide, he finally agreed to the not under warranties repairs and agreed to only using Coke Zero in the future.

    2. Can you get the exhaust to blow bubbles by injecting soapy water into the exhaust side?

    • @Monni95
      @Monni95 5 лет назад

      1. Ethanol doesn't dissolve sugar from the fuel filter, it would still be clogged.

      3. Water or any solution of water not containing alcohol will not bind to normal fuel.

No way was I going to click on that. I remain convinced it’s a really bad idea. I’ve seen what it does to coins. Would love to see the car run after the Coke eats through the petrol tank. But a Lada, okay why not? Never really liked those anyway, although I’ve always felt they were probably indestructible. Just don’t bring your Coke anywhere near my ‘99 Corolla thank you.

    nothing will happen because the coke is mostly water and sinks to the bottom of the tank... until it sloshes into the pickup, then you have water damage, syrup fouling, and carmelized sugars in your intake and valves

    I guessed for a few hundred meters so surprisingly long way. Old Ladas are quite expensive if they are maintained properly!

    Do a Volvo 240 vs Lada comparison. Since the Volvo Redblock is the best going by mileage record over 2 million miles. Lada are simple and there isn't a whole lot of info about them because you can't really get them out of Russia easily.

    I’ve only just now noticed how the voiceover is actively censoring certain words to keep the video from being demonized, on one hand, he could translate perfectly and not make any money while keeping the original purpose, and on the other hand he can do this and make money. It’s sad that the internet is like this, true expression comes at a mighty cost.

    We dont have cars with carberuators in USA. What would happen to other cars? In America my local mechanics would charge a months pay or more to fix that. So way more than $10 more like $1000-$2000.

      It would most likely clog the injectors. It's basically same as pouring sugar to fuel tank.
