'The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, with the assent of Pope Francis, grants approval

I was there September 1986. A great stamp of approval for Medjugorje. The full approval will come once apparitions cease and when secrets are fulfilled. The start of the secrets are close at hand.

His isn't the last word. Pope Francis was guided by the resolutions of the Cardinal Ruini Commission, called by Pope Benedict years ago.
