I inherited a 6110 from my Grandfather. I really enjoy it, not perfect, but pretty darn decent for a basic semi-auto.

I found one next to the garbage in almost perfect condition, but I'm having issues with the way sounds at the end of the records. it tends to lose quality so thank you for this video! I'm trying to find all the information I can about it.

Sounds like inner grove distortion. Search that term to explain what might be going on.

Just got a Marantz 6150. Had to re-grease the motor and DeOxit all pots, etc. Finally running steady. Can't believe this TT is selling for $300 to $500 for plastic and No Quartz lock,, LOL.

I ran a 6150 for quite a while a few years ago. Prices are crazy, but it’s a solid turntable.

Hi, your videos are very helpfull, I have a question, the 6110 have a little hole between the motor spindle 27:12 is that for adding oil? Thanks a lot!!!

I'm not 100% sure exactly what you're referring to, but typically any lube points where oil is added will have the word oil and possibly an arrow indicating where to put the oil.

Hi, I stumbled upon your video looking for a way to accurately check the turntable speed. How do you know your phone app is correct measurement tool for this job? I have tried to measure the speed of the platter with the same app on different phones, and they all showed different results (the measurement variation was more than 1percent in some cases). Have you tried comparing the "phone" data with "parallel" listening to songs from the turntable and, let's say, RUclips?

I have a few strobe disks and an alignment record with test tones on it. A while ago I compared the strobe to my old iPhone and they were close enough (maybe .05 rpm off). It would make for an interesting video to compare a tone disk, strobe disk, and phone app. Maybe I'll put something together comparing the three.

Hi, I have a quite similar Marantz turntable, it's the model 6120, practically it's the 6110 but with a straight tone arm. Mine's came without the antiskate counterweight so I've been looking about its weight. Any info will be very much appreciated!

Using iPhone I seem to be averaging 33.23 rpm. Is that ok? I have the same model. Thanks
