This is one of my favorite videos to show people to demonstrate the YL difference. I've used it in classes and shared it one on one and with my team at large. It never gets old.
I just ADORE the fragrance of Ylang Ylang!! We used to own a small farm in beautiful Costa Rica, where I was first introduced to it. It is SO true about the time of day when it's scent wafts naturally through the air.
Ylang Ylang means "rare" in Tagalog. This is the essential ingredient of the famous Chanel No. 5 perfume. Ironically, In the Philippines, you can buy Ylang Ylang leis from street hawkers. At nighttime, just like jasmine, it is when the Ylang Ylang releases its fragrance. It can grow as tall as a house. I want to bring a sapling to New Zealand . . .I miss these lovely flowers.
I have just graduated college with a certificate in natural product manufacturing. Mr. Young knows his craft very well. I am so glad to have discovered him! I'm devasted to learn that Mr. Young is longer with us. I really would have loved to work with him.
Gary Young makes the whole process of learning how the plants are grown, so easy to understand. Of course, I have known nothing about the Ylang Ylang plant which is grow in Equador (since I'm only 7 weeks old with YL). After this video, shot on location, I understand the process. Fantastic!

Sir: I'd add toyour excellent presentation, the astrological aspects of harvest. Paracelsus said that the anonaceae family, due her sex cycles to Venus. So When we have conjunction between Venus and Tender moon, you have the most intense concentration fragrance being able for magic. Greetings.
