I recall those cars as much as I recall Pat O'Connor from All Star Wrestling. A 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 340 4bbl motor was a welcome site. Deep purple made a classy color.
I remember all of these cars! My first car was a 1965 Chevy impala SS 283 but I always a 57 Chevy or a 56 Caddy! Those were the day's when you could set your points with a match book. Yes you are old if you know what points are! 😀😀
I'm glad I grew up around these time great cars that u could work on pull the engine out hop it up and race it and drag the main streets saturdays night checking out the girls I work part time at a full service gas station it was a good time back than wish I could go back cars today suck and so do most people
Who remembers the plastic seat covers with the bumps? Our 1968 black Dodge Dart had them. It looked to me like a police car and my momma drove it like a Singer sewing machine. 😂
Yes indeed. We had a 1969 Dodge Dart coupe in ugly, dull, medium blue inside & out. It had those crappy plastic seat covers you mentioned but did NOT have an FM radio or air conditioning. It was an oven on wheels and I hated it. We only kept it for 2-3 years before my folks got another "winner." A 1971 Chevrolet Greenbriar stationwagon in ugly gold with a black interior - yuk. Another car without air conditioning or presence - hated that one too. 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, memories! My parents had a 1959 Dodge Coronet. It was a hardtop coupe in two-tone green. Very sharp and very fast with that V-8 in it. This was the only car my parents ever owned that I actually liked. 🤣🤣
My husband & I bought a 57 Coronet in 1986, we had 2 small children. He had his first car out son was newborn he thought he & our son could work on his '67 was looking for a "parts car" he thought it was a typo, but he called & the little old lady said "no we bought it brand new in '57. 😳 She only wanted $350 for it. We hightailed it to go look. She took us out to the garage as she explained the transmission was having trouble & was worried she was giving us a bad deal. It was MINT!! Joe (my husband) looked under the hood poured 2 pints of transmission fluid in (it was pushbutton automatic) he started it up. It was seriously only driven to church on Sundays 🎉❣️🥰 we drove it all over SLC, then to Reno (where his next job was) then to Fresno California 6 months then from California to Jackson Tennessee drove it there for 2 years drove it home to Texas where we sold it for $350. The only work we ever did on it was that 2 pints Transmission fluid 4 oil changes & new tires. It ran perfect the whole time. MOPAR go figure 😂🤣😂
Exactly. They kept showing a 65 or 66 Galaxy in the clip about the 1962 Galaxy. They showed several 1973 pinto wagons in the second about the1977 pinto.
some of these were still around in the 90s and later for example the Oldsmobile Cutlass was made from 1961-1999 technically the Impala Super Sport was first released in 1961 initially the Impala was the top trim of the bel air just like the Caprice was later started as the top trim of the Impala
My dad had a 32 Essex and my grandfather had a 32 Hudson at the same time in the 50s. They were old cars. How many of you remember having to crank a car or rode in a rumble seat?
The Plymouth Volare and Dodge Aspen (which existed from 1976 to 1980) were merely mid-season replacements for the Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Dart. The only thing the 1964 Studebaker Commander occupies in automotive history is that it's part of the last generation of Studebakers to ever exist.
I am not watching the rest the 66 Impala turn into a 67 an the next segment says 1970 Barracuda and the plate on the car clearly says 1971. This poster doesn't cars at all.
I had a 1958 Chevy convertible and a 1964 Ford galaxy with a 396 motor and a four speed transmission they were good cars but then and now I have a 1969 GTO judge I have restored and my son has a 1966 GTO convertible with a Chevy 502 motor in it
How foolish to talk about a 1970 Barracuda and its "pony car competitors." Whenever someone refers to a Cuda or a Camaro as a "pony car" I now they have no respect for the betters.
Errors! 😡 By 1954, Step-down Hudsons were passé ('48 launch). Your so-called 1966 Chevrolet is in fact a '67, VERY different design. *Why not decent research?* 🤨 It's all easy to find online.
Chevetts were horrible cars.this list is messed up putting junk cars with legends of the hornet and cuda while not having land yaughts of the early 70s like the Buick Electra limited or Chevy Impala or caprice.the 80 olds delta 88 was really a top of luxury before the cutluss or you could put a caddy on for that😢
Why are you showcasing all these "new" cars? My first car was a 47 Mercury and my second was a 50 Chev torpedoback. Talking about the 70s is like talking about yesterday.
Back when they were fast AND had some metal in them......they didn't fly apart on impact..even minor impacts.
😊
Oh, I remember them all.
I recall those cars as much as I recall Pat O'Connor from All Star Wrestling. A 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 340 4bbl motor was a welcome site. Deep purple made a classy color.
Yes, I am old. 79
I remember all these cars
⁰😊

Oldsmobile was a great car. I miss it very much!
Why did the 62 Galaxy 500 turn into a 65-66. And the 1959 Dodge turn into a 1954. Someone need to check the editor for drugs.
And a 1966 Chevy Impala turned magically into a 1967 Impala 😅in the next frame and then back!
Super cool ! ❤😎
I not only remember them, I owned a few ...
I remember these cars. We had a RHD 1962 Galaxie 500.
I'm glad I grew up around these time great cars that u could work on pull the engine out hop it up and race it and drag the main streets saturdays night checking out the girls I work part time at a full service gas station it was a good time back than wish I could go back cars today suck and so do most people
My favorite car is the cutlass from the years between 68 -71 442's❤️😎👍
Who remembers the plastic seat covers with the bumps? Our 1968 black Dodge Dart had them. It looked to me like a police car and my momma drove it like a Singer sewing machine. 😂

I don't remember the late 40's cars to well except the 49 ford--i'm nearing 79. **
Wow, memories! My parents had a 1959 Dodge Coronet. It was a hardtop coupe in two-tone green. Very sharp and very fast with that V-8 in it. This was the only car my parents ever owned that I actually liked. 🤣🤣

It seems like a lot of what this video was saying about the '59 Dodge Coronet could apply to any 1959 Dodge.
Well, I work on just about all those cars in 60 up too 71 , I work for Chevrolet dealerships, I know those cars. The good years.
8:23 the Chevell SS was the choice for drag racers not the Impala SS 9:12 it's 'Cuda, Barracuda was an upscale version.10:46 see?
I remember all of these cars but I wish when you introduce a particular year, you stay with that year not showing years that do not apply.
Exactly. They kept showing a 65 or 66 Galaxy in the clip about the 1962 Galaxy. They showed several 1973 pinto wagons in the second about the1977 pinto.
I remember all but that model Hudson.
some of these were still around in the 90s and later for example the Oldsmobile Cutlass was made from 1961-1999 technically the Impala Super Sport was first released in 1961 initially the Impala was the top trim of the bel air just like the Caprice was later started as the top trim of the Impala
I'm 73 and filled all different cars back in the day.
My dad had a 32 Essex and my grandfather had a 32 Hudson at the same time in the 50s. They were old cars. How many of you remember having to crank a car or rode in a rumble seat?
I had a 62 Mercury Monterey with a 352 V8 in 1977 and it beat a 1973 Plymouth in a drag race at the track.
With internet, car shows everywhere you can be 12 years old to know a lot about vintage cars...
I owned a 64 and a 72 impala. I preferred the 64 impala as I never had a problem getting girls
Cars back when had beautiful bodies, that's about it. It was all about looks. Cars handle better, have more power without nasty pollution today.
I don't remember all these but I do recall most.
Muscle cars and Muscle chicks...that's where it's at!😮🔥😎💖💙💜🖤💯💥👍!
Slant six was not available until 1960
My first car was a 1974 javelin. 4 speed 401. Black with white interior. Gold striping
I had Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Ran By Diesel and 98 Regency V8 , and Dodge Aspen RT 1978 also V8 👍👍✌️✌️
We had a white/turquose station wagon with "fins". 1970s kid
06:20 Wrong!!! The 59' Dodge did NOT come with a Slant 6 Eng.
IT'S CUTLASS sparky
The Plymouth Volare and Dodge Aspen (which existed from 1976 to 1980) were merely mid-season replacements for the Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Dart.

Just to hard to watch /when cars had personalities and could do what was required ./// With Pride😊
The Chevy Chevette will be remembered as an absolute disaster. The very definition of a lemon, as was the Dodge Aspen
Get off! The Chevette was an excellent beater, easy to maintain, and excellent economy.
I'd take an Aspen over a Chevette any day, Hell, I had a 1980 Plymouth Volare years ago.
I must be verrrrrrry old then. I don't remember any of these cars!
Just kidding as I actually remember all of them! LOL
why are you showing a 1965 Ford in with the 1962 ? Just asking.
03:24 WTF??? Thats a 65' not a 62'!!!
Hudson weighed 3620 lbs. Light weight???😮
For its time yes.
I am not watching the rest the 66 Impala turn into a 67 an the next segment says 1970 Barracuda and the plate on the car clearly says 1971. This poster doesn't cars at all.
You guys are so screwed up! You post about a 1970 Plymouth barracuda but you show a picture of a 1971 that that’s messed up
You got that right 👍🤪
I don't think this video is accurate. They show several different year cars in the segments. Not good!
Exactly .
Class...the word of the day is OPULENT. Can you say opulent? 😂
I bought a used 1980 Chevette Scooter, in 1984. I had it about a month. Traded it in on a new 1984 base model.
Besides of style, design had only 3 powertrain options: V6, small V8 and large V8. No proper brakes or suspension were available.
Isn't the woman in the thumbnail the same woman in the thumbnail of the previous video?
The 1971 was butt ugly when I was 11. And remains so today
HE WHO KNOWS NOT WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE HE WAS BORN REMAINS A CHILD!!!!!!!
Bring back land yachts
I guess I'm not really very old.
What is the point?
I had a 1958 Chevy convertible and a 1964 Ford galaxy with a 396 motor and a four speed transmission they were good cars but then and now I have a 1969 GTO judge I have restored and my son has a 1966 GTO convertible with a Chevy 502 motor in it
Bujlly for you. Anyway, it wasn't a 396, it was a 390
Define "old."
You just did.haha
How foolish to talk about a 1970 Barracuda and its "pony car competitors." Whenever someone refers to a Cuda or a Camaro as a "pony car" I now they have no respect for the betters.
The Ford Pinto looked too much like the later Plymouth Reliant.
Big big big stretch of the truth
Errors! 😡 By 1954, Step-down Hudsons were passé ('48 launch). Your so-called 1966 Chevrolet is in fact a '67, VERY different design. *Why not decent research?* 🤨 It's all easy to find online.
Appalling what is presented here. *Be responsible please.* Anything worth doing is worth doing correctly.

Pass thumbs down 👎
59' Dodge was butt ugly.
