a-ha on Spellemannprisen '86 / "Manhattan Skyline" [Jan. 24, '87 / HD]

a-ha won 3 prizes of Spellemannprisen 1986, in 'Music Video' for the 'hunting high and low' video, in 'Pop' category (≒Best pop album of the year) for the album 'Scoundrel Days', and were given 'Honorary Award' as the band.
And, they performed (sync./playback) 'Manhattan Skyline' on the stage of the ceremony.

- Lage Fosheim (The Monroes) brought the prize to a-ha, who were in front of a light plane at some airport. they look pretty pleased to receive the trophy, but there was only 1 for the three. So... ;) [1:00 - ]
- then-Foreign Minister Knut Frydenlund presented the Honorary Award to a-ha, then the band finally showed up in the venue as the surprise [1:50 - ]
- a-ha perform "Manhattan Skyline" (sync.) from the awarded album 'Scoundrel Days' [4:08 - ]

- since a-ha were a secret guest at the time, they didn't show up when the first prize, 'Pop' category, was given. but the manager Terry Slater received the trophy on behalf of the band. So, I didn't include that scene in this video. Please excuse me for that.
- to think of the time this ceremony was held, I guess they could not take the time for the rehearsal - a-ha were on the UK tour at the time and that was why they could not avoid playback. fyi, on the 23rd January, they were in Dublin, Ireland. Then, on the 25th, they played in Bournemouth, England.

I love Morten's personality as much as his amazing voice n perfect apperance!!! I never seen any westerners bow at ppl. Morton always bows to show respect. Michael Jackson did it too. They r all beautiful inside as outside! ❤️❤️❤️
