And after a fair lot of grief, I've got this finished and while it might not seem as good as most people's this year and I honestly feel like I could have done better.
But what I will say is that this was filmed a lot more recently so future videos that come out were filmed before this
Big thank you to Mark for the bits during the credits and that... 'incident' will be talked about more as time goes on until I'm in a spot to actually be able to create a whole story about it

My two favorite things about this:
1: How you conveyed the might and power of steam locomotives.
2. How part of this felt like I was railfanning on Sodor at night.
nah it was just realistic, that's the best thing you can give it
Usually I like a detailed story, but the lack of detail in this one is really well done. It's got me wanting to see what happens next, and wondering what the ending means.
a bloody ghost done it. Probably a nice one if it helped out in getting the rest of the goods, cant say.
Ah yes, the cliffhangers always leave me on edge too

the minimalistic use of dialogue played out very well, it adds to the mystery and comprehension of the story at hand, and makes us ponder what’s to happen. The “NWR Model Project” seems to be going well and I’m excited to see it in it’s full extent !!
Knuckles truly is a gem
Wild theory here, but I think this particular ghost might be benevolent. The montage at the end shows a very similar accident to the one Donald nearly had, and when he stopped at the signal he took a lot longer to stop than when he stopped short to avoid the crash.
I wonder if the ghost didn't vanish the tail end of the train to enable Donald to stop in the distance he had?

This was a great story despite the lacked of details I can build a picture of events of an accident that happened in the 1930's likely before Henry rebuild into a Black Five judging by the picture at the end. Though details like what engine was it or its identity will need to be determined!
Nice one Tom. The photo montage at the end has gotten me curious. Love the use of 'The Train' sound effects.

Well, this story has given me more questions than answers. Also, the general lack of music is a little... _disquieting. (cue drums and cymbal)_ 😆
I loved the ominous-ness of this story. Oh lord, part of the train goes missing, and don’t know why and it is never revealed why God I love it!
Fantastic suspense and build up I also like how you did the ending story without any words
i'm already curious on the whole origin of this ghost, and the crash that created it. Keep it up

Now I'd like to know exactly what the heck happened. Did that ghost engine just up and uncouple Donald's tail for no reason, or did he really just lose those cars by chance and the ghost shunted them to a safe place? Regardless, poor fella: I'd be just as irritated after everything that happened that night while already having to pull a late train.
Man this story is awesome. I only wished I’d seen it soon. Great job dude.

That was really good, Interesting backstory to the ghost there.
As a voice actor for TK, this was fun to VA for. But, unfortunately, he smells so bad.

The credits show pictures of things that hadn't happened yet so i'm guessing a part 2 & maybe 3 are in the works?
Seems an engine numbered 14401 had a crash and now their spirit lingers as a shunter.
The number 14401 belonged to a Highland Railway Ben Class named Ben Vrackie. Maybe it was that same engine. I don't know for sure.

@Adinosaurandtrainlover I've known 4F for ages now. And I was the one that commissioned the models originally. He asked to use them for some videos, and the rest is obvious
I don't know who is the supposive ghost engine. But all I can assume that it's Henry mk1 or 87546. But gotta say who ever voiced Donald made this fell like I'm watching an episode of Dexter or breaking bad. Very well done.

The only thing that throws me off is is that we see Henry mk1 in the flashback across the junction points. So I can only assume if the engine was 87546 or another engine.

He was commenting about the brake van changing colour because it was originally grey but became orange (truthfully that was my own error but it worked well with the story)

I have a theory about the ghost engine. In the early days of the Northwestern there was a large blue engine named Thadeus. Thadeus was a former Great Eastern Railway engine who was brought over to help with the construction of the railway. He had volunteered as working as a busy commuter engine and the hustle and bustle of London was taking its toll. Thadeus loved Sodor, the atmosphere, the people, the engines, everything. He wanted to stay and so it was arranged. Thadeus worked hard and did any job assigned to him willingly and happily. Then one night he was pulling a goods train to the mainland when he crashed into the back of some trucks that had broken away from a proceeding train. His driver and fireman jumped clear, but Thadeus was killed on impact. Ever since Thadeus's ghost has stayed guard over the junction where his accident occurred and will take care of coaches of trucks that break away from their trains so there isn't another accident like the one that took his life.

It's down to preference you know. If a content creator doesn't want his stuff remade then the right thing to do is respect their wishes. I've catched out people using my characters already and I politely asked them to not use them. But I do have disclaimers about not using my stories of characters

Wait I recognise that tender from the crash it belongs to a Caledonian 4-6-0 perhaps a castle (not the gwr one)
I thought it belonged to an SR engine with the numbers on the tender and all that.
I'm sorry to say but it's mean to be an LMS engine and it's not canonically what's meant to be there. But due to time and nothing else available. It was meant to be a Midland Railway or LNWR engine as the NWR is somewhat apart of the territory
I thought there were 2 engines involved in the accident, a (possible) 4-4-0 with the un-covered wheelset tender and an Patriot class or something along those lines

The main cause of the missing mail vans was Ross the J50.
maybe because of that one episode where dodge is punished and has clone wars music
