Azir used to be an OP League of legends champion, but after being nerfed and new changes in league of legends, he is now one of their least played champions in the game. I'm REALLY bad at Azir, but he's always been one of my favourite Champions. What's more awesome than playing as an Emperor who just wants to bring his Empire back to glory? Raising his soldiers from sand, literally creating a new Empire on the battlefield. He's such an amazing design.
And his voice lines, theyre so... Powerful
College Boarde I love both and the whole Shurima region. I'm maining Xerath but still have reached mastery 7 on both. Xerath is probably stronger than Azir in Runeterra's current time. It'd be nice to see a fight in the lore, Azir vs Xerath :)

I love how people spend the first 5 minutes trying to be vague about who they could be alluding to, but champion is named in the title...
I stopped playing LoL around the time Azir was ruling the pro scene, but it was hardly because of him. I actually really liked it when he was *the* meta. Unlike other champions we've seen rise to prominence since, he was both mechanically and mentally intensive, and incredibly fun to watch. Seeing him fall off favor over the last few years has made me immensely sad.
Great video, by the way. I completely forgot what an absolute clusterfuck this guy was on release. Having all of the patches necessary to fix him laid out like this really puts him in perspective.
Yeah, one of the fewer champs in the game that don't make me mad when I get killed by him. Too sad nowadays overpowered overloaded champs rule the scene.
I loathed Azir back then. Being able to directly damage the turret by sacrificing soldier charges. I hated how his R completely denies an entry point or glues you to a wall.
imo, Azir is pretty good right now. not too powerful that he’s abused and only the dedicated play him to climb. a good balance.

Champions like Mal, the old GP, Fiddlestick are fun because they are simply stupid. Sometimes you don't need a mechanically advanced champion to enjoy the game.

yeah. Back in the day not everyone can dash through it, but now it's just a liability with champions like Talon who literally jump over the wall.. to quiyana who ults you into your own ult. it's just sad.

Personally love the bird boi! He’s got one of the more interesting kits to this day imo, and his potential leaves so much room to get creative.
Also just wanna put out there that smite and RoA and Seraphs weren’t sub optimal when I built them they’re the solution that allow Azir to go Conqueror without any mana in runes. ie Conqueror + Ravenous Hunter for sustain and maximum 1v9. Dope vid brother!

Azir has been my main for about 2 years now and he will always hold a spot in my heart above all other champs (except for Jhin :p). I think what terrifies me the most is the same thing Riven mains are afraid of, which is an unwanted rework that riot pushes in the name of healthier gameplay. While he may not always be the most fair or balanced champion, in my eyes he perfectly captures what it means to be a control mage and his theme/lore/aesthetic are absolutely incredible. Like seriously, Azir is one of if not the only champ to have a base skin more epic than any other skin he’s ever received and maybe ever will receive. Please Riot, don’t change the emperor.

EXIL, The Azir multiple towers Bug it was a hack with Ashe, you should search it.
Ashe Q count as an ability replacing as an autoattack, some people manage to use it for hacking into other champ autoattacks (Brand R, Annie Q, Kassadin Q, Leblanc Q, etc)

@Exil i think your content is super good, with a lot of new things and work behind, but one thing you might, or might not, know is that your videos/voice are super good to fall sleep
You could also expend a W charge to damage an enemy tower directly! It was the only non auto attack ability that could damage structures, and with enough cdr and AP you would topple towers in seconds. It was a huge downgrade when it got removed.
tbh it's a little unfair since azir can easily force his enemy out of lane..

So here’s an experiment. Would Azir still be overpowered if buffed enough even if there are much more overloaded champions such as Aphelious and alkali in the game now? As a design, is Azir that unfair even though his release was not so recent compared to more recent champions? In other words, does Azir beat every other champion in the midlaner if he’s at the same level of balancing as the rest of the champion pool?

Exil has made me realize. It is quite impressive how well Riot releases these champions. I mean sure they need bug fixes and nerfs and buffs but it’s all part of the process and they usually go through the process very well and have refined to a acceptable level.

When I first started league I saw a random guy put up a turret and control soldiers in mid lane and I instantly knew I wanted to main that character. Azir has been my fav character since the middle of 2015. Everytime I get a new champ and say that I’ll main them I always go crawling back to azir just because of how different I feel when playing him. He doesn’t get as much recognition like most characters but he’ll always be one of my fav character not just in league but all of gaming and I’m proud to be a azir main

I think well can still be a cool concept. Make him an AP jg that utilizes the river and creates water around parts of the jg to help him farm and fight. Seth can also be really cool and be azir’s descendant that has sand powers like him and use that crazy ult.

@@c3ntravaswani427 Not really, Sett design is recycled designed of a champion already existed in the game and that champions name is Fiora. Passive is Fiora's E. Both W's are counters. Both Q's are gap-close and AA-timer resets. Item paths are nearly identical with Fiora favoring Lifesteal from Hydra and Sett favoring Health due to regen passive and W mechanics. Only ults are different.
