  • Inkscape is professional, free, open source Vector Graphics software.
    Notes from this tutorial:
⦁ To move the Inkscape page up and down: use the scroll wheel in the mouse.
⦁ To move the page around: Hold down the scroll wheel in the mouse.
⦁ To zoom in or out the page: Hold down the Ctrl key in your keyboard and use the scroll wheel in the mouse.
⦁ To draw an object, use the objects bar at the left: click on the arrow first, then select the object you want to drag into the page, like a square, circle, etc..
⦁ Once the object is on the page, click again in the arrow to have options to modify the object dimensions by dragging the small arrows.
⦁ We can deselect the object by clicking in white space on the page or the scape key in the keyboard. By clicking on the object it will show the arrows again.
⦁ While is selected, if we left-click on the object again, it will show a different set of arrows that will allow us to change skew and rotation of the object.
⦁ The + sign in the center of the object act as a rotation axel, mining the object will rotate around it. That + sign could be moved even outside of the page and the object will rotate around it when using the rotation arrows.
⦁ We can change the color of an object by selecting it on the colors bar.
⦁ By holding down the shift key and selecting a color we can change the stroke color or borders of the object.
Special thanks to @rvalle13 for providing these notes!
You can download it today, on Windows/Linux/Mac at:

Fantastic tutorials. Started watching yesterday on a train and today, approximately 28 hours later my first proprietary icon is proudly making my website visually appealing. It is an amazing world, so much knowledge free at our fingertips. Thanks to you, thanks to the creators of Inkscape. Very touching. And we are talking about a guy, who spent 0 minutes with any illustrator software and made some pitiful hand drawings in elementary school 30+ years ago. Unbelievable.

Thank you SOOOO much for these tutorials. Years ago, I used photoshop and attempted to use Illustrator, with little success because I couldn't understand how to use paths/nodes/etc. Back then, there weren't any tutorials available online. I gave up on photoshop because it became way too expensive and now it's cloud only. I frequently don't have a cloud in the sky. Inkscape is a great program. You are the tutorial King!

Thank you, thank you🙏 So enjoyable having leassons from someone, who´s more interested into teaching, than make a show of how of fast things can be done. I so much looking forward to continue all the next videos. You´re a brilliant youtube-teacher. Thank you - thank you!!

Thank you so much for this series. I used adobe as a designer from 1992 until now on CS5, but must use Inkscape now and it's better than Illustrator, thanks to your instructions. Also, I recommend Krita instead of Photoshop or Gimp. Very versatile. Cheers.

Thank you for making these tutorials, I had the program already but wasn't really sure where to start and these are helping me to get on my way. Very easy to follow as well.
