- Опубликовано: 7 сен 2024
- Inkscape is professional, free, open source Vector Graphics software.
Notes from this tutorial:
⦁ To move the Inkscape page up and down: use the scroll wheel in the mouse.
⦁ To move the page around: Hold down the scroll wheel in the mouse.
⦁ To zoom in or out the page: Hold down the Ctrl key in your keyboard and use the scroll wheel in the mouse.
⦁ To draw an object, use the objects bar at the left: click on the arrow first, then select the object you want to drag into the page, like a square, circle, etc..
⦁ Once the object is on the page, click again in the arrow to have options to modify the object dimensions by dragging the small arrows.
⦁ We can deselect the object by clicking in white space on the page or the scape key in the keyboard. By clicking on the object it will show the arrows again.
⦁ While is selected, if we left-click on the object again, it will show a different set of arrows that will allow us to change skew and rotation of the object.
⦁ The + sign in the center of the object act as a rotation axel, mining the object will rotate around it. That + sign could be moved even outside of the page and the object will rotate around it when using the rotation arrows.
⦁ We can change the color of an object by selecting it on the colors bar.
⦁ By holding down the shift key and selecting a color we can change the stroke color or borders of the object.

A two second intro.
Thank you, and I wish that all creators of RUclips instructional videos would follow your example.
That's so true. With my ADD I sometimes can't get through the intro.
Unfortunately, many have 10 - 15 second long intro
amen
The longer the video the more chance of advertising. That's why.
No intro would be better.
Fantastic tutorials. Started watching yesterday on a train and today, approximately 28 hours later my first proprietary icon is proudly making my website visually appealing. It is an amazing world, so much knowledge free at our fingertips. Thanks to you, thanks to the creators of Inkscape. Very touching. And we are talking about a guy, who spent 0 minutes with any illustrator software and made some pitiful hand drawings in elementary school 30+ years ago. Unbelievable.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you very much for presenting in a way my 78 y.o. brain can comprehend. Looking forward to more of the same.
Good day to you, sir.
Seriously sir! Kinda amazing! I mean tremendously
Like wise with my alcohol puddled 61 year old brain!
at first thought I read 28 year old cause my 60 year old eyes. Youre not alone. cheers and I am trying new software too
Wow. learning at 78 year old and here I am at 22 considering whether I am already behind . T
I like that you assume the viewer knows nothing. You explain every step along with what mouse/keyboard button you are pressing in detail. This making your videos easy to understand and not get lost.. Your videos make learning easy......Thank You
Thank you for taking the trouble to make this video. Excellent tutorial. I learnt a lot. Thank you and May God Bless you
Thank you SOOOO much for these tutorials. Years ago, I used photoshop and attempted to use Illustrator, with little success because I couldn't understand how to use paths/nodes/etc. Back then, there weren't any tutorials available online. I gave up on photoshop because it became way too expensive and now it's cloud only. I frequently don't have a cloud in the sky. Inkscape is a great program. You are the tutorial King!
You're welcome! Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks so much for making these tutorials available for free honestly it really means a lot (when us broke humans cant afford to use a product like adobe illustrator or learn how to use it haha)
You're welcome. Even if Inkscape cost more than Illustator, I'd still pay for it and use it. Its just better software.
@@TJFREE Really?! You're just saying that to justify your choice.
@@peterbreis5407 I learned vector with Adobe. Illustrator is decent, but Inkscape is king. I honestly think the massive marketing budget of Adobe has a strong effect on why people use/like it.
@@TJFREE If Coca-Cola was never advertised, people would perceive it for its true value, over-loaded sugar and caffeinated syrup trash
Hey, I've jusr installed Inkscape and I was feeling totally lost. This is the first Inkscape tutorial I've seen and it's amazing! Realy, I think you're doing great here, and it's easy to understand the way you explain! Congrats and thanks a lot!!!!
Thanks Bianca. I appreciate the feedback!
I got to play with this software a few years ago, and have forgot much of it. Thank you for this series. I've come back after watching 14 in a row, and it's all coming back like riding a bike. Thanks again!
You are an excellent Teacher. I was getting worried that I would never understand inkscape but now I know that I can learn it. Thank you so much.
Thanks Joy!
I just got a Glowforge and wanted to learn about vectors and of course, Inkscape. I was completely confused with it even after reading the tutorials and watching other RUclips videos.. Your series has been, by far, the best, and have actually began using the software now. I just finished Lesson 9.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I just ran though all 23 of your tutorial videos. I am so glad I found this series. I was struggling to do anything meaningful, but your lessons opened everything up for me in just a few hours. Excellent work. Thank you very much.
Finally an actual tutorial on how to create stuff yourself in inkscape.. Gonna watch the whole playlist
Thank you for the straight into the topic content
unlike other channels that talk about subscribe or other bla bla bla stuff you directly jumped into what is necessary. And I didn't even have any trouble understanding. Thank you os much for this tutorial
vYou're a good teacher. I teach Illustrator and was pleasantly surprised at how similar Inkscape is. One thing I've noticed lately when people export bitmaps is the use of "PNG" file format. PNGs have a transparent background. I'd think a simple JPG is better and more useful. Thanks for your efforts. You're a good teacher. Excellent. I've known of Inkscape but never used it. Didn't know how powerful it was. Now I have a need, I'll use it and your tutorials. Thanks.
Clearest best tutorial ever. Thank you.
This is my "goodbye" with cracked illustrator. Never again. Thanks for the video, I was no sure about this software but now I see it's just perfect for my simple illustrations
Nice. If Illustrator were free and Inkscape cost, I'd still choose Inkscape. It really is the better program.
Stoked to see your channel blow up, this tutorial series helped propel me a year ago, and to the present and beyond. Thank you
Thank you so much. I started using PaintShop pro years ago, then was forced into photoshop. All of the tutorials I found suggested illustrator which I didn't have, then came Inkscape. I was so confused, this is my first video but I can tell how much I'm going to learn already. Again, thanks. :D
You're welcome, Jamie. Best of luck!
I'll add myself to the long list of folks thanking you for this concise, clear tutorial--I already feel better about the Inkscape interface. Well done (and I agree that the short intro is wonderful).
That's the best introduction to a software ever. Thank you.
Bingo!!!! My 3rd video and the one I really needed to watch!!! Thanks a lot ! This is truly a video for BEGINNERS! Very appreciated over here.
Crystal clear instruction. You have a real gift for this. Thank you!
A huge thank you for such clear instructions . I have been "muddling" around for days with lttle understanding or progress. The other you tubes I've watched, instruct!! as if you already know what they are talking about and know what they are doing as their mouse jumps around doing whatever! I am very grateful to have found you and I appreciate what you are doing to teach Inkscape. Cheers..
Thank you so much. A precise introduduction that does not assume any existing knowlede. No showing off how clever you are, or the software is. 100% helpfull at the right pace. Brilliant.
You said a basic tutorial and you maintained that theme though out. A very informative presentation without any key stokes or mouse clicks not explained. Well done.
63 and still learning and you make it so easy thank you very much from the UK
Thank YOU TJ!!! I have basic skills but I am ready for the real stuff and when I discovered Inkscape I was weary it would be too hard for me to figure out on my own. I am already on your 9th tutorial and the lessons are blowing my mind, you are covering all the things I need to know plus some extras I didn;t know I needed. I came back to #1 to make sure I "liked" them all and to thank you.
Thank you for this. Our teacher literally just told us to open inkscape on our desktops and start drawing with no basic background knowledge. This was really helpful.
Man! This is by far the best intro I've found on RUclips for Inkscape. Thanks a bunch!
I am so grateful for your video lessons. You explain everything so very well. If your not a teacher you would definitely make a great one
Great tutorial, understood everything you where explaining, up to lesson 10 will stay there until I perfect all that you have explained before I move on.
thank you for your time and effort. this has really helped me.
I am new to Inkscape and I look forward to watching your tutorials. Thank you for creating them.
WAAUW !! A free program with all the functionality. And here the step by step tutorial. Just saw this first one and it is very promising. step by step explanations. LOVE IT !
Helped me pass my exam with less than 10 minutes study for it, thank you
really ?
I just watched a video by James Dean of James Dean Design. He told us about Inkscape. I'd never heard of it before but I've installed it and just watched this. You explained it in a way that even a silly old Duffer like me can follow. Thank you VERY much. I have subscribed to your channel. Jim
Ryndon, thank you so much for this series on Inkscape. I recently purchased a Shaper Origin CNC and it has some very basic design software, it limits your creativity. I chose Inkscape after researching the others. Now I have found your tutorials and I am blown away at how great you are with your instruction technique. I am up to lesson 11 and will go all the way. With your help I will make my Shaper a great tool in my wood shop. Thanks again. Ken
Wow, that helps so much. I tried Inkscape several years ago. your explanations are clear and precise. thank you.
I am a complete and utter beginner trying to learn graphic design. Thank you thank you thank you.
I just started your Inkscape tutorials this week. They are everything I hoped for and more !

Thank You :). This Was A Really Good First Tutorial For Inkscape. May The Peace, The Mercy And The Blessings Of God Be Upon You.
Really appreciate this tutorial! I was muddling around on my own in Inkscape and getting nowhere. Really clear instruction! Thank you!
This is great! I watched a tutorial the other day and she just dove right in no real intro. Thanks!
I'm in need to create SVG files and was told by a friend that he uses Inkscape. I appreciate your knowledge and help getting started with it. Thanks!
You're welcome Mark. Inkscape is such a valuable program to learn how to use! I wish you the best of luck.
Many thanks for a well explained and useful tutorial for a newcomer to Inkscape
Thanks i installed inkscape yesterday you are helping me a lot
You are cool. Everything about this is cool. I can't wait 'till I learnt how to make otherwordly outputs like what I saw professionals do in youtube. And the colors.
I will comeback to this comment for 3 three months and see how far I've gone. You are a llife saver. And inkscape thankyou for letting us use the app free of charge.
Thanks Raphael. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for the tutorials. Something I discovered by "accident": Maybe you have discovered it too. One can reset a tool's settings, as follows: [Dbl-click] on the tool in the toolbar on the left. A popup dialogue appears. Note the two radio-button options: "Last Used Style" or "This tool's own style", regards Paul
You have gift. That's the best instructional video I've seen yet. Thanks for sharing!
So good and very helpful video for beginners like me. I was looking something like this. Thanks a lot.
open-source software is the greatest, change my mind
Why would I :DDDDDDDDD
open-source software does not make sense to me; Since I'm not a programmer so I won't understand the codes it have
Be a software company which sells paid/ad-supported software... your mind will be changed. :D
But yes, you're right.
Bhidu hack download karne ka
Show me one open-source software as good as Houdini, and I will change my mind.

Very effective and simple. great work.
I'm too broke to buy Illustrator or at the very least buy Affinity Designer (which I think is a good middle ground) so this tutorial for Inkscape is much appreciated. Thank you!
Simple and straightforward intro, thank you!
One note: starting at 6:35 (and ending a few seconds later) you were changing the Stroke color but referred to it as Fill color a few times. Thought you'd want to know. Thanks again!
I really enjoy drawing and making videos with inkscape and I highly recommended it
Simple intro. I'm glad you have a series ♥️
You're a good teacher. I teach Illustrator and was pleasantly surprised at how similar Inkscape is. One thing I've noticed lately when people export bitmaps is the use of "PNG" file format. PNGs have a transparent background. I'd think a simple JPG is better and more useful. Thanks for your efforts.
jpg/jpeg is better, it depends
Thank you so much for doing this series. I'm just starting in Inkscape after exclusively using GIMP, and I knew there would be a learning curve. You're helping me learn at a nice, easy pace. Many thanks to you, sir.
You're welcome. Glad to hear it. Best of luck on your Inkscape journey!
oh my goodness!! Thank you so much for these videos. Tried several times over several years to understand this. So clear in your instructions, followed with youtube and lap top together. Thank you for doing these.

Thank you so much for this series. I used adobe as a designer from 1992 until now on CS5, but must use Inkscape now and it's better than Illustrator, thanks to your instructions. Also, I recommend Krita instead of Photoshop or Gimp. Very versatile. Cheers.
Thank you for explaining it so easily even ì can understand
Hello there! Just wanted to leave a comment saying that this software is amazing. I even use it for animation, and it's pretty easy.
Thank you for making these tutorials, I had the program already but wasn't really sure where to start and these are helping me to get on my way. Very easy to follow as well.
