Like gun laws in general, this will be primarily used to target otherwise lawful gun owners.

I don't know about "primarily", but it will hang up otherwise peaceable and law abiding people. It will facilitate transforming us into a sheep-like herd. I think it scans for density. I wonder how it would react to a rock or a roll of dimes.
