    Classic...!!!
Such were the days in good old Oz 40 or so years ago.
Chappelli was a great cricketer, always inspiring by leading from the front.
I'm sure he would've had a good laugh at being sent up by the great Hoges.
    Thanks for the upload 😁👍

Actually it was during some very poor quality video of Rugby from South Africa and unknown to him that his microphone was still on he said "What is this sh*t".

Altercations in the most humble sports concievable, thats some funny shit. His condemning the violence, only to be just as bad in the end. Graham Kennedy was voted the funniest australian ever, in a 20 to 1 countdown show, hosted by Bert Newton. I dont know who did the voting, but that was ludicrous. I cant recall anything funny from Graham other than that motorised desk sketch - thats just one. Hoges should have won by far.

Don't talk shit ffs! It wasn't ludicrous at all. Graham Kennedy was easily the funniest - piss taker, anti establishment, entertainer. He was also very intelligent. His intelligence made the humour - he used it to hector power both subtly and grossly and often in a way the person in power had no idea it was being directed at them. On the other side of the coin he was smutty too. If you don't get it you don't get it and I get that. You had to be there to see him in action. You never knew what was coming next and that was a gag in itself. The anticipation put you in the mood - what's he going to do tonight??
Hoges is also a national treasure. These sketches haven't aged at all as far as I can tell, but Hoges is in a different class of entertainment than Kennedy. Hoges' comedy is particularly clever as he makes you laugh - consistently at the obvious which is a skill few comedians can do as well as him. Both get Aussie/British humour and capitalized on that but Graham Kennedy took it to another place; he was 'base', a vicious queen, dry, hated power yet like Hoges a loveable larrikin except a bit scary.
Sorry 'ole mate we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

@truespyfan this skit is referencing a well known incident when Ian Chappel thought he was off air and said to the mike somthing like Jesus Fucking Christ which went to air.
